Howard Johnson by Wyndham Woodstock NB

I was pleasantly surprised with this establishment. It is an older facility (established in 1971 as the Panorama Motel) and it needs some maintenance, but the room was very clean and very quiet. The bathroom was recently refreshed, the TV and bed were both new, and that is what matters! The desk clerk was very friendly. The price was quite reasonable. I did not try the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that aspect; the dining room closed many years ago.My only significant complaint was the location on the outskirts of town. It is close to the Highway, but absolutely nothing else.

Nice, clean rooms. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A quiet, comfortable place to spend the night and a great location.

The room and washroom were clean, bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a table and chairs to eat our meal. The staff was really nice and courteous. I would stay there again if ever I travel through this area.

What do you expect for a hundred bucks? This place was a stop over on our way to P.EI. It made sense as a half way mark from Ottawa. Friendly efficient staff, clean room, quiet night sleep, quick continental breakfast then off! We could have stayed at the official half way in Edmunston for 40 bucks more and had bacon and eggs. Much preferred banana, cereal and bagel. Take bad reviews with a grain of salt because you get what you pay for. Thanks for the good night sleep! Already booked return stay.Barry and Joan - Ottawa

Very friendly staff. Good hospitality. We had the room on the second floor over looking at the pool. They were so worried that we wouldn't like it but we really enjoyed it. The room is a good size. Didn't feel crowded with 4 of us. We all got a good night's rest!Nice size deep pool 10 feet. We had fun playing pool table. The owner's son checked on us and brought us towels.Good warm breakfast, very clean. The owner would keep coming to clean the breakfast bar and turn on music for us.Would definitely stay again!! In fact we would come just to stay here for the weekend sometimes. Yes it's not fancy or modern but it feels very relaxing.

Our stay was exceptional. The indoor Olympic pool was clean and awesome, rooms were clean and had all we needed. Keeping 1 star off the rating because the continental breakfast was not adequate for us.

The walk-up room was fine; however, being woken to the sound of a paving crew and heavy equipment at 7AM sharp to repave part of the parking area was not acceptable.After a very long day of driving and a late check-in nobody expects to be woken up and disturbed like that.Even though paving is not an everyday occurrence there are many other choices for places to stay in the area that would not inconvenience customers like this.Had any information been made available during the booking process I may not have been as motivated to write a negative review about my experience here.Howard Johnson Hotels you need to do better. Probably won't be staying here again.

Skip this one. The beds were clean, but the bathroom was not. The baseboards had clearly not been cleaned in a long time and the baseboard heaters were full of dust bunnies and rust.

Staff and facilities all up to par with emphasis on staff. You kinda expect people to be nice. The staff here was kind and helpful. The indoor heated pool is absolutely to die for! Breakfast was the usual cerals coffee bagels toast etc all of good quality. Worth the stop whether in a separate room or a poolside, every is nice and everything works!A good place to stay or to rest. Family owned and operated.

The hotel was a good price and was close to the highway. The room was a decent size and we didn’t hear a lot of highway noise. Check in was simple and quick as was check out. The available breakfast was simple most likely as we were there during low season. There seems to be an effort being made to freshen up and update the property. There are still a few rough spots, but hopefully these will be ironed out.
