PCH contracts out Sodexo for it's Food Services. Absolutely the worst company. PCH keeps Sodexo so it can pay it's employees very low wages. This company is terrible, which is behind the scenes and under the radar. Sodexo does not live by its Mission, Vision and Values..... I am giving PCH a low rating as they have the capacity to change this, and instead they ignore the ongoing bullying of staff. They are constantly expecting one person to do the jobs of three as Sodexo cannot hire anyone. Noone wants to work there, and there are 1000 reasons why!

If a hospital can be spectacular, this is it. To begin with, when you look through south to west, you see lawns, paths, forests and finally Lake Ontario. It's a beautiful view and can only make the hospital residents feel better. On the inside, there are tall spaces coloured in light hues and filled with windows and glass. The signage is also colored to both indicate where you are and the direction to go if you want to go to another area of the hospital. This hospital serves several different populations. This includes long term mental health care, complex care, forensics, rehabilitation and palliative care. Common to all of these populations is an apparent attitude from the staff of respect, dignity and compassion. The only problem we experienced was parking. There was none to be had and we had to travel next door to Lake Ontario Park to find a place to park.

My step father was on Heritage 2. The staff were amazing, he was not the easiest man to care for but they went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable to the point where he didn’t want to leave. My mom and I are so very grateful for every department involved in his care. Thank you

This is a wonderful facility. A friend was admitted after breaking two bones slipping on ice this winter and her room, with its great view, was very consoling to her. She received excellent physiotherapy and appreciated the cafe and shopping- it made life seem more normal. Thank you for caring so well for her. I also received physiotherapy this winter at Providence Care from Chris Riseling after a total hip replacement. He knew exactly what to say and do.Thank you, Providence Care.

I was a stroke patient for almost 3 months. My room was amazing with private bathroom with shower and a great view, Staff were wonderful, kind and courteous. Physio therapy offered and given was amazing, they work really hard, kudos to Katherine Heller . Unfortunately I was transferred to PTCC and that was a horrible experience, it could be because it was not really ready for patients.

2 stars because the facility is new and clean.Waited 2 years to see Dr Trier and walked out with nothing more then a prescription. So useless. I guess thats all the system has to offer patients in Ontario is medication, as if in the past 2 years the side effects of the other meds wasnt enough lets add to it. Lets stop writing off chronic pain patients. They can find some relief, they just need a willing doctor and deep pockets, so sad. You can get a prescription from virtually ANY other dr or NP if you think thats for you, dont waste your time waiting for 2 years for Dr Trier.

Edit: While below is true, the hospitals response during Covid has been sub-par. You have locked down your patients about 95% of the time during last 2 years. No outdoor walks, no outdoor visitations or other extremely safe outings. It is overkill, and to people who desperately need it for well being, begging for any kind of normal in their already challenging lives. We are so lucky to have this support system and hospital. It is very close to my family and we truly appreciate all the help they provide my family member who has a bigger heart than I do but suffers from Mental Illness which sometimes is out of his control. Will donate as much as I can every year during the Holidays.

I recently spent several weeks in PCCC and have nothing but compliments for the superb care I received. The therapies could not have been better and the nursing care was exemplary. The food was excellent for dieting purposes but thank goodness for the Cafe or I would have starved to death. The Therapy Pool was so great and enabled me to increase my walking tolerance and balance. Thank you Dr. Weir in Seniors Rehab for sending me there! It was a wondrous gift!

First impressions only, but not good. Portsmouth Avenue is long and lovely, but at the south end it becomes a small tangle, like spaghetti, or a flow-chart, or a trendy city-plan for people who don't want to be slowed down by a grid. I get out of the car, and in every direction there are signs off in the distance, all too small to be visible, although I have excellent vision. Inside, endless halls and rooms, mostly unmarked. The staff all seem hurried and unhappy. I'm reprimanded for making mistakes on a test, using my right arm damaged by multiple cancer-surgery. I refuse to address people as Doctor Joe
