Meal and atmosphere was great although the music seemed like I was sitting in an elevator. The bison short rib was really good as was the molten chocolate cake. Our server Sarah was really awesome. I have been throughout the years, when it was sleeping buffalo and they are still delivering. Great place to treat yourself for sure

This was a very nice bar with many great signature cocktails. Friendly and informative staff and servers. Dominic and PJ were both easy to talk to and had good advice about the area. I had a Buffalo burger for lunch and the poutine for dinner on the same day. Everything was super tasty. The burger was more done than I had hoped, but probably safer and it was delicious. The fries that came with it were crispy and hot. Poutine is just great comfort food. If you haven’t had any before you have to try it. It’s a great meal for the morning after a long night too.

Ordered medium rare Bison tenderloin for take away which was highly recommended by my friend. It is delicious but the meat is slightly over done. Very friendly staff.

Worth the drive up to the Prow restaurant. Decor has a modern chalet feel with warm lighting. The drinks menu has some really fun cocktails.It's hard not to over order appetizers, like we did.

The Prow at Buffalo Mountain Lodge
We were staying at Buffalo Mountain Lodge and decided to give The Prow a try. Very nice atmosphere and cozy inside. Not formal and not casual, just right. We were seated without having a reservation (was on a Weds night and weren't too busy). We had the Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip for an appetizer. It was great. I had the Bison Cheeseburger and my wife had the Rotini with Bison Bolognese. Both were excellent. Will definitely return next time we are in Banff.

You can't beat The Prow during the holidays. This cozy dining room is modern yet trendy, and they spruce it up incredibly during December/January. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and molten chocolate cake for dessert. Add this stop (or better yet, stay!) to your next Banff vacation!

The Prow at Buffalo Mountain Lodge
I've eaten here three times, and each time has been soooo satisfying. I finally made it for breakfast today, and the eggs benedict with salmon was delicious! The potatoes were so crispy yet delicate, the salmon flavor was robust but not overpowering, and the egg was perfectly poached. I've also had their steak dinner and a few appies, all great. The loaded fries are possibly my favourite, I'd have them over a poutine any day.
