CTL Law (Toronto)

This company is absolutely horrible!! Had a judgement placed against me in 2017 & I paid it the day i found out about it (nothing was ever sent to me prior to being sent to my employer for garnishment) Have asked them multiple times to file the paperwork stating it is satisfied & still waiting 4 years later - called last week yet again to have it removed & was told it was being rushed" as I called again last August to have it removed & still waiting... Now they arent returning my calls or sending me the paperwork that should have been filed over 4 1/2 years ago..."

Not a law firm in the traditional sense, a collection company trying to intimidate friends of people they can't find.Received call from this business wanting me to find people for them & ask that they call the company, unwilling to provide any details or discuss situation. Second time they called they asked for a different name.

If I could give less than 1 star I would!! First of all Deann you’re an absolute witch. How badly I want to type worse things to describe her. This garbage “law firm” contacted me because apparently I had owed yellow pages money. I contacted them to settle it and they said they’d get back to me. They didn’t get back to me and now are asking DOUBLE. Stating that they don’t legally have to get back to me. Deann is disgustingly rude. Cut me off at every cost and said if I don’t pay they will take all my assets. Scammers. Con artists. Don’t know how these people are in business. You’ll all rot in hell one day

~COLLECTION AGENCY, NOT LAWFIRM~30 days past due?? Don't worry these guys will make you think your going to court the next day. Also pretty sad the only 5 stars are from affiliates. Let me help you waste your money, cuz your not getting mine, as I've stated but you forgot, but ill let the judge reiterate that.

Don't ever work for them. They are a bunch of losers who are unhappy with their lives. It is such a toxic environment and when you make a complaint to management about bullying, they are quick to fire the victim rather than the culprit. Anyone working there is uneducated and cannot find a better job. 0 Star.

Don’t pay early apparently.I’ve been paying back a credit card through CTL. I started payments in Sept.I paid an initial sum, and negotiated a monthly payment until the bill was paid off.I paid twice in October. Once one Oct 2 and once on Oct 30, indicating that the Oct 30 payment was for November.I was told paying early for the advance month was okay.I just got a call saying my payment on Jan 27th didn’t count for Feb, but for Jan. So by paying early for each month, I got a “missed payment” for February.How does that make sense.Georgette was extremely rude about the situation and kept talking over me. Refusing to hear that I’ve been paying early to avoid this exact problem.I’m trying my hardest to repair my credit and pay what I have to get it gone, and by paying early and doing the right thing, I get dinged. Thanks so much.

Willing to negotiate settlement and settle my account with capital one. Once agreed upon I was harassed before first payment and then again prior to second payment.Georgette is incredibly rude and talks over you constantly. Although I’ve paid up and created my file just want to say how incredibly rude and harassed I felt!

Total scam company working as collections for Waste Management pretending to be a law firm.

Hired this goof to help us with some files and collections, ended up taking our deposit and monies and not doing anything in return. Spent years chasing him and his team of professional liars in court back and forth. Nothing but a waste of skin lawyer who shows up in a multi color jump suit right out of bed and some worn sneakers like he just cut the grass out of his beat up Honda Civic. Very unprofessional, ignorant and disrespectful to say the least. Stay away, tons of other companies out there to hire but this one. Contact me if you would like to know or see more, have boxes full of records, pictures, examples, etc. Can bore to hell on this guy and his masterpiece of portfolio. look him up on a website called ripoffreport dot com.He already got his wrist slapped a few times by the Upper Law Society" for being a knob at his job and i have plenty of proof for it. Just ask. Nowhere near the type of lawyer or collector you think he is.We are also not the only ones this guy screwed over. He used to operate under another name and keeps changing his name and locations to float around town like a disease. Don't catch it!The most untrustworthy individual known. He wont respond to any of the reviews for obvious reasons. The truth hurts and thats what happens when you know what u are doing to people."
