The lobby and admin should not be a separate building than the residences. It makes the residence building lacking proper security.Also raccoons show up as early as the skies get dark.

Really thankful to UBC for allowing us Muslims to pray Friday prayers In the ballroom. Friday prayers are at 1:30pm. The ballroom is located at the commonsblock.

Friendly front desk staff, 2 quiet study room for study

The staff just garbage, irresponsible. They enter your room arbitrarily. If they made mistakes, they just say sorry,nothing else

...really depends on your roommates. As for the community, you can be as involved (or not) as you want to (or don't want to) be. Commons block has all the standard residence facilities, such as vending machines, a pool table, ping pong, study rooms, bathrooms, gym, etc... And obviously a front desk. You get your own P.O box, your own private room, a bathroom shared with one other person at most - it's not bad at all really. Summers are hot as hell but I can't really speak for winters. If you're here in the summer though, invest in a fan - trust me. The rooms vary in shape and size but are roughly the same amount of space. Overall, 4/5. Good location, good RAs, chill place.Also, to anyone who lives here, please keep the shared areas clean. Like do whatever you want in your space, that's cool, but for God's sake I should be able to see the color of the floor in the living room, jesus.

It is a nice residence. the buildings are new and clean, and if you are lucky and have great roommates you're gonna enjoy living there. They have a lot of extra activities on the residence including BBQ, Yoga, Movie night, and more. The only problem is the expensive fees and being far from every grocery store on campus.

Tldr; unhelpful staff, I think his name was Jackson or something.Background I'm a UBC student who lives at Marine and my key card stopped working.When my key card stop working randomly, I went to the front desk for help. They gave me a new key card and ushered me out. Upon asking them if they knew why my old card stopped working they just said I'm busy and I don't have time to explain". No "sorry

Perfect security system for the residential building-card access required to enter the buildings. Friendly staff at the commons block where there is a pool table and the equipment for pooling is available upon request. It’s also a nice place to study and exercise at the commons block.

These residences are for the students of UBC. It has six buildings adjecent to UBC building and maintenance department.
