Ho Ho BBQ

The value is insane and the food was ok. The BBQ pork was better as the roast pig was a big too fat for my taste. However, today a box of rice with 2 meats selling for 6 dollars with tax and drinks are unbeatable valve.

Hoho is a small Chinese BBQ place for takeout only. I just can’t say enough good things about it, in nowadays it’s hard to find!they are still keeping their $6 for two kinds combo with free soup, and including tax! When other restaurants had increased the price several times already, which usually is double price at $12.99+tax. Their quality is good too, especially the bbq duck and roast pork! I would give 6/5 if I could!

The food was excellent, particularly the rice bowl which was expertly prepared with rice on the bottom, meat on either side, and vegetables in the center. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous serving of duck, and the flavorful rice and sauce. If you want extra sauce, be sure to request it from the boss lady, especially the green sauce with ginger. The vegetables were simple, just boiled in the center of my rice bowl. The takeout container for the rice bowl was quite large. The BBQ duck had a substantial amount of meat, despite not being a leg, and had great flavor. The roasted pork was also abundant, with perfectly crispy skin. The standout feature of this meal was the unbeatable combination of being cheap and having large portions

Ho Ho BBQ is one of my favorite stops when we venture to Scarborough. It’s one of those OG places for Chinese BBQ meat. There’s always a lineup, but when you move swiftly inside you can see why! The shop is literally standing room only, with a quick serve counter but friendly staff.The meal deal is BBQ pork on rice. But we go for roast pork, BBQ pork and sausage on rice which also comes with veggies & soup. The roast pork skin is crispy & crackly as expected. Chinese sausage is delicious too. Value here is hard to beat and it’s what keeps us lining up again!

I gave 5 stars 2 years ago. Today I give 2 stars. Quality drops too much. Soup is tasteless, rice is mushy, all ducks are bones only, roasted pork too chewy, bbq pork is the only thing eatable.

I was in the plaza to buy egg tart from the bakery store so I thought to try out the bbq rice box as well. It’s unbelievable cheap at $6 tax included per rice box and it comes with soup. I picked this store because I saw they use good brand rice but I’m quite disappointed with my choice. The rice is cold warm( I had it immediately inside the car), the bbq pork is very dry and the presentation is poor as there’s sauce stain all over the box. I shouldn’t expect too much for that price but I think they didn’t meet the basic to provide a hot meal to their customers.

My favourite BBQ place! Everything tastes really good and fresh. Prices are super reasonable. Staff friendly as well. I was short $2 and they said it was okay, pay next time :D.

No expectation on $6 combo, just want to get something to eat. However, the soup is cold! I think the min requirement is at least warm?!
