Garderie: LaSalle des petits

A director who is full of herself, arrogant, rude, patronizing and look down on folks like us who have a lower education.

Highly recommend to parents who think thoroughly about the future of their child. Started at 3.5 years old and being there until maternelle class at school; in this garderie my son learned french, basic writing skills, alphabet and math, got fully prepared to join french-speaking school. Additional classes yoga, karate, spanish, music and dance classes and other different activities such as visiting museums, parks were provided during our attendance.. The director of the garderie is what an AMAZING Woman! She has a great approach to children and can resolve any small or big issues, and all the educators are professionals who take their responsibilities very seriously. Very safe place! Now we are 8 years old and still every year return to Garderie LaSalle des petits for their summer camp. Highly recommend!

The Garderie La Salle Des Petits is a very special daycare!!The facility is always clean and organized.Teachers are bilingual, very kind, and patient (You should see how they treat kids with special needs).Food follows specific guidelines and eating involves games to encourage kids to try new things.The kids get special classes with special teachers like yoga, computer class, chess, chemistry, etc.The kids go out everyday either to a park, playground, a museum, or a walk or simply to a shop or grocery store and experience the real world.The Director is VERY HANDS ON, she takes the role of the Educator and Friend to the kids. Everyone calls her by her first name and she is always there for kids and parents!!The Director helped my son accommodate into moving to Canada. She organized a special day for him to talk and explain about our country and show his friends where he comes from on the world map. She really was always there and continues to be every step of the way …The daycare allows Early Childhood majoring students from the College La Salle to do their internship there and so they work a lot on professional development for the staff and are always up to date with the early childhood methodology.My son’s teacher is exceptional, he loves her a lot and is sad when she is not at the daycare. She always sends personal details about his day with pictures and knows what he likes and doesn’t. She really is super!!

I don’t understand how people can write bad reviews on the daycare which is one of the best in Montreal. I used to work as preschool teacher in LaSalle des petits before moving to Toronto, and the only thing I can say is that’s the best daycare I have worked in. The « directrice » is very professional, educated and knowledgeable person who seems to know everything about children, their well-being, development and safety, and meeting children’s needs is her main objective as well as the other staff members. She always makes sure that all staff members observe safety measures, that they plan their lessons according to children’s interests, not only according to the theme of the month, as it was mentioned in on of the reviews. There are also a lot of additional activities such as yoga, chess, Spanish, École de forêt etc., from which the children can only benefit. And what concerns food it’s prepared by the chef from LaSalle collège restaurant, which means that it’s not only prepared according to the Canadian food guid but it’s also delicious, nutritious and served like at the restaurant. So if you want your child to benefit from the daycare program, learn new things everyday, and be sure that your child is safe and sound, don’t hesitate and come to LaSalle des Petits ❤️
