Such friendly, personal service. They are honest and never try to upsell me. They have a range of lower to high end products so that you can work with your budget. The shop itself is lovely and feels centuries old.

They're something about this place that makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. I brought in my violin for a tune-up and some adjustments. I asked a lot of questions, and the staff took their time to give me a detailed quote and recommendations. The experience was very personalized, and I didn't feel judged or rushed.

My professors have been long-time customers (over 20 years) and I had a stellar service when I came to fix my violin's soundpost. Upon first glace, they immediately noticed that the bridge was broken (I failed to notice it; a small piece was very subtly chipped off). Unfortunately, I had no choice but to play at a wedding, putting too much pressure on the violin with all the problems mentionned above. My violin had to be repaired and reinforced from the inside. It was also polished and it now looks brand new. There's no ounce of a doubt that I will be coming back here for future maintenance and repair. I also purchased my rosin here and will be getting my strings here too.

My viola was not sounding as good as it had in the past. I was welcomed by friendly staff, and was told by luthier Bertrand Bouchard clearly what work was needed and for what price, which was very reasonable as part of the work involved raising the fingerboard to the correct height. Bertrand completed the work within a week, and now the viola sounds better than it ever did. I highly recommend Luthier Jules Saint-Michel.

A good place to change or repair your violin. Nice specialist expert. You can pack your car in front of the store if you get luck and have a place. But, you also can take metro or bus go to here.
