I stopped by Charlie’s while out in Mississauga. I got the lunch special jerk chicken for about 9 bucks with tax. It came with rice and peas and a bit of coleslaw. I saw a couple of reviews that said the chicken was undercooked so obviously I looked out for that. What I got was at a minimum yesterday’s chicken and rice that resembled steel cut oats clumped together. It was a totally gross. The flavour is still making me gag, it tastes awful. I cannot believe they kept a straight face while they served up that food. I’ll bet they are laughing their behinds off back there wondering why anybody would buy their food, and let me tell you I never will again. This is a no go zone. #petfoodtakeout.

Been enjoying meals here since 2014. Everything I've tried is just so delicious, especially their fried rice, and add the chicken on top... chef's kiss. Just on another level of aroma and taste. Let's not forget about the hot sauce that adds some tanginess and heat to the meals. Service is very good and they're also fast. Can't really compare any other Caribbean restaurants I've tried to this one. It's just different, authentic dishes.

The store looks the same as when I was a kid visiting for the first time, they really need to expand cause it's very tight space and your always in the way of other people. The Cashier didn't seem to like her job cause she looked so annoyed. But if you want Pine Tarts, Black eye etc then go there.

I DO NOT WANT TO BUY FOODS FROM HERE AGAIN! TERRIBLE!Start from the rice to the chicken, nothing is delicious or worth the price. Look at the pic, and you can see the texture of the rice is really bad, and the taste just ‘yuck’. I have been to this place before and it was amazing, but now, not sure what’s going on but everything is just OFF.I felt ashamed to have lunch here with friends and family, such a bad recommendation! #dissapointed

The chicken fried rice is amazing and paired with the pepper shrimp makes an incredible meal. Their homemade hot sauce is absolute fire, but has such good flavour. Definitely a favorite!

Had the goat on a paratha roti and it was delicious. I asked for it or be spicy and they added the pepper sauce right in. Their pepper sauce is tasty (Guyanese peppers sauce is always fire still). The goat roti was $16.95. Worth it IMO. Next time I’ll try to Dahl Puri. #roti #guyaneseroti #Caribbeanfood #westindianfood #peppersauce

This food taste like leftovers from two days ago and ran my belly. The oxtail had no flavour but was cooked well no pressure cooker. I asked for a piece of fried chicken and got fried chicken that was not breaded but baked roast chicken. The jerk chicken had no flavour was not grilled at all. Tasted like oven baked and barely cook. The rice and peas was soggy and was like old leftovers. Very disappointing for the money spent.

Ordered via Ubeerats: I ordered the Curried Goat Roti with extra Goat and an additional Paratha. Loved the taste and the portion size. Will definitely order from here again.
