We asked Jane to help us train our 3 month old Havanese at our home, me, my husband and our two sons. She was gentle with our puppy, Riley, who loved her immediately, and so patient with us. She provided us with clear instructions on how to teach Riley basic commands and offered invaluable advice on potty training we are grateful for every time she pads out to the backyard through her doggy door to take care of business. She gives 110% and we would recommend her to anyone wanting a chance to grow with their puppy in the best way possible.

Jane is an excellent trainer! Her evidence-based methods are effective, and her fun and compassionate approach is enjoyable for dogs and humans! Me and my puppy both learned so much in socialization classes. I learned how to recognize appropriate and healthy puppy play, the principles of positive reinforcement, how to teach cues in a step-by-step way, how to introduce body handling, toothbrushes, clippers, etc., and much more. And my pup learned how to modulate her play style and have fun with other puppies, and how to focus in a more distracting environment. Jane has a lot of personal experience in outdoors recreation, and offers adventure-style training, which I hope to do once my pup is older. Also would love further classes for puppy class grads! Overall very grateful we took these classes, and would recommend!

Jane is awesome to work with. She takes the time to get to know your dog and is very experienced with fearful dogs. She showed me good tricks and techniques to help Savannah deal with high stress situations. She also proactively worked with Savannah’s vet, who in turn commented how impressed she was with Jane’s thorough approach. Highly recommended!

Working with Jane was so, so helpful. My dog responded to her training right away, and his behaviour started to improve immediately. I acquired lots of techniques and skills over the course of our six sessions and feel much more relaxed when we are out and about. We took Jane's puppy class and are so grateful we did.It cannot be easy to teach a group of yet-to-be-socialized puppies and under-socialized humans (thank you pandemic). Jane calmly guided the puppies and humans in our class with grace and professionalism. In addition to learning and practicing useful training techniques, we also met puppies in our age bracket with similar vaccine schedules. Jane strikes a nice balance between hands-on learning and off-leash play. Jane is amazing! She loves dogs and infuses that into everything that she did for us. Our dog loves her and was super responsive to everything that she worked on with her. We hired Jane to teach our dog how to walk on a leash without pulling and just to have our dog spend some time with a stranger to socialize to other people, and the impact was almost instantaneous. She is patient, lovely, and took lots of time to communicate with us around what she was doing, how she was doing it, why she was doing it, and how we could continue working on the cues that she was teaching our dog.
