Walmart Supercentre

Went to this store on a Saturday at 11 30am and 11 of the 'express' self checkouts were closed and only 4 were open. A large line formed and there was 1 person 'helping' direct the self checkout. Seriously why do think this is acceptable having so many checkouts closed during peak times. Not to mention the self checkout process asks you too many questions just to get to the screen to pay. Every time I come here my experience gets worse and worse with no availability of products.

What is going on at this Walmart?The greeter at the door 'greets' you with a vacant stare, even after I greet them! Packaging in cosmetics, seasonal and under garments were opened and some destroyed, no friendly chit-chat at the checkout so I opted for the self check out only to be met by the same vacant stares, I asked where a certain international food item was only to be mumbled off by some bloke who could barely speak English.There was a time when you felt welcomed and people were ready to assist you at this Walmart but it's evident as Airdrie grows they are leaning towards hiring a certain caliber of employee and it's becoming a chore to shop there.

I'm giving this 1 star because there is never enough cashiers or self checkouts open. If you don't want to pay staff to have tills open than at least open up the self checkout lanes. 3 out 10 tills open is unacceptable!!!!

They're doing some renovations and could not access the garden center from the inside. Once again, good 'Ol Walmart is in the process of moving everything around. A bit hard to find things. I'm sure that when the renovations are done, it will be a better shopping experience.

There’s nothing better than being made to feel like a criminal while you’re trying to spend money. Seems as though they do this regularly according to other reviewers. We have spent a lot of money at this store just to be watched like we’re shoplifting. Superstore is a way better option with much better customer service and I plan on spending my hard earned money there in the future. Time for some new management Walmart.

Holy smokes, open up ALL the self-serve kiosks!We were in an 8 group lineup … AT THE SELF-SERVE, where there were 5 closed kiosks.What is up with that?

This wal mart is like all other Walmarts. They have a good selection of many types of products for everyone. The sale items are usually on the end caps and may or may not be the best price around. The produce is usually pretty good. The meat selection can be pricey. Good staff. Would go again.

I recently had a terrible experience at the Walmart in Airdrie and I feel compelled to share my negative review. The store's automated checkout stations are always open but only about 40% of them are ever in use, which begs the question of why they even bother having so many.Yesterday evening was especially dreadful. They closed almost all the regular checkout lanes and directed us to the right side of the store, where a massive line had formed for the automated checkout stations. To make matters worse, only 50% of these stations were open, creating a painfully slow and frustrating experience for everyone.To add insult to injury, I had purchased Jamaican patties that the automated checkout couldn't scan. I asked the assistant stationed nearby for help and she was extremely unpleasant, doing everything in her power to dissuade me from buying the product instead of actually assisting me. Only after I insisted did she begrudgingly call for assistance to find the price of the item.Overall, it was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and if this is the kind of service Walmart in Airdrie is offering, I'd much rather take my business to Superstore. At least they know how to treat their customers.

Every Time ago shopping I'm reminded as to why Walmart is not on my list of stores NOT to go because it's going down the toilet, fast.They're encouraging self checkout because now you can't even go to a manned cashier and they don't pack your stuff. I would rather pay twice as much for most items than go shopping here again
