My house is 4-5 years old.We had a sewer line to be repaired by BATAVIA due to it being a installation failure and we have emailed them asking questions with no response from anyone we contacted. Our first email was sent off well before Christmas with multiple emails sent leading up to now asking for a response and still not a single reply.What we have seen with multiple defects in interer from cutting corners on finishing to shotty workmanship and the non existent customer service I know I will never buy another Batavia home.

We moved in to our new home, Glamorgan Model at Harbour Point Penetanguishene on June/02/2020. We love our new home. Top quality of workmanship and finishes inside and outside. Sandra and Grace at the decor centre were fantastic helping us to select the colours. All the staff at Batavia from Dianne, Mary, Lynn, Al the site supervisor, Xavier, Chezz, Tyler and Michelle they all make the difference. They work very hard and they are always ready to help. This house is the fifth that we bought but this one is the best ever built. The small issues that we had were fixed and resolved right away. We had to wait almost one year for the house to be ready. We can't blame the builder for the delay because due to unseen circumstances like shortages of materials, staff, city approval for permits and inspections, weather conditions and worst of all COVID-19. This are things that are out of the builder's control. Batavia Homes builds beautiful homes, well designed, no wasted space, efficient and very affordable specially for retirees. We love our home and we highly recommend Batavia Homes to all our family and friends. Everybody that visit us love our home, the layout, the workmanship and the quality. Do your research before you buy a new Batavia home. Read reviews, and talk to the people that have bought a Batavia home.I have had many problems since day 1. It got to the point where I kicked out workers out of my home, and did the rest of the deficiencies myself.A birdie told me that there were (are) multiple lawsuits in the Hastings subdivision.DYOR

TERRIBLE experience! Purchased my home and 2+ years later it still hasn’t been started. The company is extremely difficult to communicate with. My closing date was pushed several times and we are now past the final “firm closing date” and I have NO closing date. Batavia Homes is not holding up their end of our contract! They show no compassion for the impact their actions are having on the families who trusted them with their money. I can’t move into the house, can’t sell the house, and can’t get out of the contract. This is unacceptable!

We have been in our home in Penetang for 13 months. The tile on our ensuite floor is loose & the grout is cracking. Batavia’s answer was it is only under warranty for 12 months & it is basically our problem. What happened to quality & pride of workmanship.

We had a horrible experience buying from this builder. They delayed closing 3 times, the last time the notice was given to us 10 days prior to the form closing date. This completely messed up our financing. As a result, the bank delayed the funding by half a day. When our lawyer asked to extend the closing by 2 days, the response he got from the president was: tell you clients they have to close today or they will lose their deposit!!! we couldn't believe that a builder who is trying to build reputation in the community would respond this way. They caused the problem in the first place, then tried to take the house from under us and keep the deposit! Our lawyer said that he has encountered dozens of delayed closings, and this is the first time he has encountered such an abrasive and inconsiderate response. upon closing, the PDI list had 47 defects on it. I would advise everyone to stay away from these crooks and go with a builder who knows how to treat his customers with respect

Not qualified to use a tape measure. The bargain shop of home builders. The tile is coming up in every room. Walls are all out. Floors are all out. Doors were swung after 38 beers. Trim works in horrible. HRV has louvred exhaust cover on both intake and exhaust - sticker says it was balanced. Windows are fogging. I could on forever and ever and ever.

We had great experience with Batavia homes. We love our Glamorgan style bungalow. The design is beautiful, efficient and there’s no wasted space. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Dianne and Sandra at the Decor Centre was wonderful and very helpful. There was always there to help you and give you great advice. The same applies to most the staff on the Penetanguishene site. Al the site supervisor. Javier, Chezz, and Michelle just to name a few. Are wonderful people very dedicated and hard working. They got the job done within a reasonable time when he asked them. Although our home wasn’t ready in time we couldn’t blame the builder for that. First of all the builders don’t want any delays. They want you to move in on time. ( They want to get paid) What some people don’t realize is that some things are out of the builders control. For example industry shortage, staff, weather conditions, and the city to get things approved. All these issues have a negative effect on your closing date. In our opinion Batavia homes builds a beautiful home at a reasonable price.It’s great place to call home.Thank you.Nella and Sam

I just moved in to phase two in Harbour Point and was pleasantly surprised by the the quality of my home. The finishes of the interior and the products used are of good quality. My PDI had four deficiencies and three were weather related. The floor plan has good flow. I absolutely love my new house. Many thanks to Dianne, Mary, Chris and all the members of the Trades that worked on my house, and especially Al for supervising the construction and meeting my closing date ..

We moved into our home in Penetanguishene in April 2018. House was incomplete when we were forced to take possession. First summer our basement flooded due to heavy downpour and catch basins being covered with mud. It took 2 years before all the work was completed to our satisfaction. The Town has confirmed the Grading Fees were returned to Batavia, yet they have not released the funds to the owners. Been here 4 years. Majority of phase 1 has sold and moved out. Would love a firm reply as to when we will receive the grading fees back. **Nov 25, 2022, still no Updates on Grading Fees to be refunded** Would be nice to hear from someone. **September 2022, Decreasing my rating as no replies to emails. Radio silence.
