Old C.P.R. Bridge
It was a nice place to take pictures and seeing it. Unfortunately the barriers on each end prevent you from getting the shot you may want but safety first

Beautiful views of the river and skyline. A great location to stand and watch the Bower Ponds fireworks on New Year's Eve.

This historic train bridge is beautiful in every season. It is an excellent subject of photographs if you can find a time when there aren't pedestrians crossing. Red Deer appears to do a great job at the placement of historic information placards describing the location. I will say, however, due to the nearby district it's recommended you visit the bridge during daylight hours or with a group in the evening.

Old C.P.R. Bridge
A walking bridge area allowing pedestrians to walk or bike from one side of the river to the other. It is a very useful and safe walking bridge with alot of back history from it once being a working train bridge. Which is not in use for a train any longer. Can be and is used often for outdoor get together and or wedding party's or Graduation photos. The Scenery is absolutely gorgeous. I would suggest having your wedding or grad photos taken on this Old Black Train Bridge. There are no longer pick Nick tables or sitting benches located in this area. Unfortunate in my opinion...

I love the historically valuable assets that the City of Red Deer was smart enough to take advantage of, while they still had the Chance. This also is(in my books) the BEST City of its size to take advantage of the Bicycle owners of the city, by gifting them these AMAZING trails that Stretch to Every Corner of Red Deer. WELL DONE GUYS!!
