Spring Lake Ranch

We had a fantastic time at Spring Lake Ranch! It was October, and the weather was cool, but we only had to deal with a little rain the day we left. This ranch is in an amazing setting and has tonnes of activities. The log buildings are incredible and very well kept. The private lake is huge, and there are canoes and row boats. We had a giant campfire one night, which was family time well spent. To be honest the best part of the trip was learning to ride. We couldn’t get enough of the horses, and we spent a lot of time out on the trails riding. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Before we had finished packing, we were discussing making it an annual trip!

I loved this place! It was wonderful seeing all the horses. Our leader, Sarah (sorry I might have her name incorrect) for the trail ride was great! Highly recommend this ranch. Beautiful setting and scenery all around.

1st... the long drive is so beautiful. The pandemic has the house ranch dine in closed... not a restaurant but home cooked food. Loved this place just for the views alone and being able to enjoy a peaceful cup of tea with the dessert of the day. As for the trail rides... the horses themselves know the routes and where and when is it time to return to the barn and even their stations. Only a couple needed handling, like mine! Like not to close as to rear or kick and when a tree branch at my level could be avoided. Worth the time and cost... very reasonable!

Our stay was terrible! Exterior and area looked great, we arrived late around 930 pm, was about to make the kids hot chocolate, and opened the cupboards for cups to find mice droppings in the cups! Was disgusting,Did some looking around and droppings were all along the walls of the cabin and droppings in the washrooms, they claimed they cleaned the place and said there was no mice around, but fessed up to clamining the cats around the cabin take care of the mice.

Went on a 2 hour trail ride here with my family. It was beautiful. Our guide was lovely and the horses were lovely. Only qualm is that when I booked I was assured that they do not group different parties together. Unfortunately they added riders to our ride that were below our skill level that took away from the experience. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Friendly staff, trail riding was fun. Best part was there was no socializing on the trail ride and you were able to hear nature, fully enjoy it. Only issue was the window sills and dishes had to be cleaned. Other than that the most relaxing place I have stayed. The games room was also a nice touch with the fire.

Would highly recommend this place. Just went on the one hour 11 AM morning ride and was greeted by the lovely Diane. My husband and I rode ginger and prince they are very mild mannered horses . It was very relaxing and safe during the entire trail ride. The scenery is absolutely beautiful as you wind along Spring Lake near hayfields, birch trees , daisies and then into a beautiful forest and back again. The cost also surprised me as its very low and super affordable. What a wonderful place to do a ride . Definitely a must in the cariboo

This place is absolutely beautiful and remote. If you want to enjoy nature and a peaceful mostly electronic-free resort this is the place to go. For awesome family times, great riding trails, and very good accommodations it's perfect. The owners are very accommodating and put the effort into making it a wonderful vacation for you. Amazing experience! Knowledgable and friendly staff. My experience has me wanting to go again and again. We went for a short 1 hour trail ride and the experience was beautiful and so pleasant. I will definalty be planning a weekend get away soon. The drive up was extremely scenic and The ranch is beautiful and so peacful. I would highly recommend you check it out!

Incredibally quiet area. Nice cabins on a private ranch. Loved the horse back rides through the trails. Very nice and homey.Restaurant dine in area closed due to covid, would have loved a fine home cooked meal from them while viewing the lake from the tables.Very friendly and nice.
