zero stars... this place is bad. I made a reservation the guy did not go out and look at the truck with me. I returned it and told him where i parked. again i could have moved it. but he said it was fine. then he charged me a 70$ cleaning fee on top of the rental.I called back when I looked at my receipt because I knew that we had cleaned it out. He said that the 70$ was for parking in the wrong spot. but we parked it right where we found it in the previous day.Sketchy crooks. stay far far away.

If I could give them no stars I would. I booked my U-Haul about four days ago and everything was confirmed. I am standing outside the location to pick up my U-Haul and I was supposed to pick it up 45 minutes ago and there is no employee here (3634 E Hastings). I called the Davie Street Location who booked it for me and he said he would call me right back he was going to try to figure out why no one was here. This was 45 minutes ago, he hasn’t called me back and he’s now not answering his phone. I just spoke with the regional office and they have booked me a U-Haul at a different location. But now I have to pay for a $20 Uber to that location. Avoid the Davie Street location and the East Hastings location. Just as I was about to leave in my Uber, the employee showed up. No apology. The employee could not get the front door unlocked so he just jumped in his van and left. These guys are awful. Avoid these locations and book your reservation through the regional office because they know what’s going on.

Ordered truck for 12:30 pm.When we went to pick it up they told us the pickup time is now 1:30 pm. We asked how it can be that when the receipt says 12:30 pm. They said they don’t know.At 1:30 pm we called to see if the truck was ready. They said they did not know where it was and that they’ll call me back in 2 min. After 5 min I called them and they told me same thing. They then stopped taking my calls.Worst experience with a uhaul ever. These people are evil.

Horrible service! Watch out for this scetchy market and the people who work here. They are up to no good. I literally went in to pick up a puralor package for my husband (who's recovering from surgery) and the owner" refused to give it to me because it was under my husband's name. I showed him my photo ID which matched the same address as the package label and still he did not accept it. He insisted my husband send him his photo ID to the man's personal cell phone. I was not comfortable in doing such a thing as he would hold possesion of personal information on his personal phone that didn't belong to him. I told him I would rather prefer my husband send it to me instead and I would be more than happy to show him. Ridiculous approach! I've picked up plenty of packages for my husband at Fedex and Canada Post and I NEVER had any issues. This has to be illegal! No wonder there are so many frauds happening. This man was rude and careless! When I felt I had no other choice but to get my husband to do it

I booked a truck two weeks prior to pick up from this location. I touched base one week in advance and they confirmed it was good to go. I checked in the day before our move only to be told there would be no truck. I had movers booked, everything packed, but no truck. And! I was the one who had to call and check in (never got a call from them about the issue). I assume I would've showed up the day of my move only for them to shrug and say they had nothing. Book elsewhere.

Leaving this on both locations I dealt with as they are apparently co-managed. The worst move experience of my life. Secured a reservation for 10:30am weeks in advanced. I show up to a location that is closed, phone to be told my rental is not available until at least noon. I've booked elevators for my move and have set schedule. An hour later told my rental truck is now available, so I take an uber to another location. Show up going through registration to be told it is a van, when I ordered a 10 foot truck. The man could not figure out what to do. Zero problem solving or support. We had to phone customer service to get some support and push to find an alternate. Finally told a truck is available but we have to now go back to the original location, again at my own expense and no one is there still to help. Find the keys and get the truck but now have to spend more time going back to the other location to pick up the reserved dollys etc. Over 2 hours later finally able to start my move. Had to push my elevator times and reschedule everything. Mid-move we receive texts saying we have stolen a truck and it is being reported to the police. Like WHAT?!?! We took the truck you told us too. Had to phone to clear that up. Finally return it and then get the bill, I was charged a higher cost (15 foot rental) bc that's all they had at no fault of my own. No accountability or ownership. In speaking with the manager was told we were lucky to get anything bc if someone doesn't return a previous rental in time they will just cancel your reservation. What kind of business is this? Why make a reservation? Completely unacceptable business model. Would never use a Uhaul again.

Horrible experience. I would find another option.You need to properly Educate/train your employees on proper procedures. I am still waiting 48 hours now for my deposit to be returned. Was told I would get my deposit back when the vehicle was returned. This has been a serious runaround.

Terrible service. Mostly a scam. They will overcharge you 100s of $$ afterwards and leak your phone number to spam centers for side cash.Do not engage with this location. They are rude and also text and insult you if you say anything about them.

We showed up a little earlier just to fill out the necessary paper work for our uhaul rental but there was a note on the door stating they will be back in 10 mins. We called the number attached and they said to come back at 330pm which was the time of our rental so okay fair. We came back at 330pm, waited for another 30mins only for them to not show up. There were also a few more people lined up by this time who called the number on the door and no answer for them as well. Save yourself the time and book elsewhere. This place is such garbage.

If I could give 0, I would. Please don’t rent with these people. This is a scam, they will overcharge you, and it is the worst customer service ever. I should had saw the reviews before rent and it makes sense why the reviews are so bad
