Chelsea Chocolates

Had poker night with the ladies last night and a friend brought this….the general consensus is, “to die for”. Lucky for me, there was one piece leftover today!

Extremely unfriendly. Was not greeted upon entering by the man. Was then barked at by the woman because my daughter was carrying her service dog. We left. Pity…wudda spent upwards of $100. Don’t bother going.

Love this place! It’s worth the 100km drive from Toronto.

Splurged a little bit and got a few types of chocolates :) All were lovely & the dark chocolate had that really nice shatter when you bite into it. Loved the ice wine and apple cider chocolates. I would like a little more apple cider flavour to the latter though to differentiate the flavours more! I also tried the ruby chocolate bar which was really nice. I may be wrong, but it looks like it has a bit white chocolate marbling, which I actually think detracts a lot from the flavour of the ruby chocolate. Then again I don't personally like white chocolate. All said, it's all really good, quality chocolate

Once it was a great destination for super good Belgian chocolates. Now it's an overpriced rip off ($4.75 for a tiny piece of overly sweet chocolate that doesn't even smell like chocolate - yes, the smell of this place changed, too) - where the owner keeps you in ransom and won't give you a receipt unless you give them your email address or phone number! Is this kind of personal data harvesting even legal? I went out of there with a tiny bag of chocolates after paying over $60 and was told I am not welcome to come back because I wanted a printed or written receipt without giving them my personal data. I asked for the receipt three times and three times I was told that they don't print receipts, they can only email or text them! She agreed to write me a receipt when I finally raised my voice while there were other people in the shop. After she wrote the receipt on a stick on pad (!) she held it in her hand away from me and proceeded to give me a lecture that I am not welcome in her store, withdrawing the hand with the receipt until I said that what she is doing is illegal and that I will report her. The cashier looked scared and I was sorry to see in what demeaning way the owner treated her as well. Never again will this place get another penny from me or from my friend who witnessed the whole scene.

I passed by a few times and went in today. It feels good. It's a handmade chocolate factory with a retail store. It's famous for melt in your mouth chocolates". I bought a piece of sugar free chocolate and a box of mixed flavour chocolates. The lady warmly explained different kinds of chocolate to me."

Beware their data mining at the cash . You must provide your email or phone number and I was refused a paper receipt!!!!!Horrible customer service and over pricedResponding to your response . I was polite and did give my email . Get your story straight . Another half truth on your point . You lost it ! On me for no reason .i was not offered a hand written receipt at all which I needed . You gave one to my friend .You should make the shopping experience at your store pleasurable not a burden to your staff and customers.

Great gem of place. Amazing chocolate and friendly lady who helped us. Wish I lived closer I would shop here often. Highly recommend stopping by this store.
