I’m honestly disappointed. I chose to pay the fifty dollar premium over the going rate for an eye exam. I did so because it was worth it to me to have the exam done in a clinical environment where, I assumed, patient well-being would be the chief concern. I was careful to ask very plainly if I would have all the information I need to acquire a pair of glasses, as I’ve heard of people having trouble. I was assured I would.In the end I was given a functionally incomplete prescription that withheld a critical piece of my own medical information, seemingly to impede me from buying glasses elsewhere.Apparently the practice of withholding this information has become so common in this industry that some places have even passed legislation to restrict it.I’ve been going here since I was a little kid, and I like the doctor a lot, so it’s extra disappointing to be treated this way.(Edit): I’ve amended this review following a conversation with the doctor and have removed a remark that I agree could be interpreted as personally unkind. That was not my intent, so it is removed with my apologies. Bottom line I suppose is that if you intend on buying your glasses on site, this is genuinely a great place to go. If you want or need to explore other options, you might end up feeling like I do about it.

Very bad, service I called to make an appointment for an eye exam because I'm having serious problems with my vision, and I was referred by a doctor to go get an exam, but the lady that spoke to me told me that they could not accept me because they were on strike and no Ohip patients were accepted. That's very unprofessional they don't care if you are sick or in need of a doctor.

Dr Pollock is an excellent and thorough optometrist. The office staff are efficient and helpful to look after payments, eye glass selection, fittings and adjustments.

I have been going to Dr. Pollock's office for almost 20 years and appreciate his professionalism, communication and humour. The staff are also professional and reassuring.

Dr. Pollock is very nice and I would recommend him as an optometrist. The selection of glasses is okay. There are not a lot of high-end options.
