Hospice Peterborough

A big thanks to the wonderful staff that assisted my family during the period leading up to my Father in laws passing. They provided support and care allowing our family time to share our grief and process same in an environment when we could all be together.

Hospice is a home away from home. Amazing staff in all ways. Caring and gentle. What they give to families with a dying person is so remarkable and heart warming. I can not even express the emotion and gratitude for this place. Thank you so very much for the blessed experience we had at Hospice.

The staff here are amazing human beings and I cannot thank them enough for their care of my brother in law in his final days. If you are looking for a great place to support with your charitable donations this should be your top choice.

I cannot think of a more compassionate place for families to come together on this end of life journey with their loved one. The people here are so kind, caring and compassionate. They not only care for the patient, but also for the families and friends who are here to say goodbye to their loved ones and who are going through their own fears and grief. It is also child friendly. All are welcome.The building itself is quiet and calm with privacy for families, meeting rooms and quiet sitting rooms. There is beautiful, soothing artwork throughout the spaces and rooms. They offer small but meaningful comforts to patients, handmade quilts, and warm bubble baths are just two examples of this. There are books to read, coffee, tea and treats for families and warm soup at every lunch. There is a small room for children to colour, sit and play. We were given cots so that our family could all spend the night together in the room.I wish more people knew about hospice and that they do not have to go through such a difficult time on their own. Being here has allowed us the needed help and care so that we can be present with our father as he gets ready to leave this world.

The staff in this facility are absolutely amazing. They make one of the most difficult times a bit more easier. They are caring, kind, compassionate and respectful. Our family can never thank them enough for everything they did for us.
