The Elk river is well suited to kayaking and river rafting, and the people at Mountain High are great at making the opportunity for adventure the best possible. Mark is most helpful and accommodating and with upbeat attitudes from all we had a splendid autumn adventure in mid Oct, when all zip lines and other rafting adventures are closed for the season. What a Blast!! We had a fantastic time with my family of 5 (3 teens and 2 adults) rafting down the Elk River. Tunnel49 guides were super knowledgeable, helped us feel confident and safe, and made us laugh!! We chose the Mammoth Raft and it didn’t disappoint for more adventure and entertainment on the rapids and some incredible splashes! Lunch was great and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique experience in Fernie.

We had the pleasure of doing the Mammoth Rafting on the Elk with Samir. We had the most exceptional day and I was so impressed with everything from the gear to the lunch spot to the overall experience. Mountain Highs guides are highly trained and very knowledgeable. Look no further if you are looking for a great way to experience the river, these guys really deliver!

Great guide (Nick) for a family rafting trip!Would have appreciated a heads up about the steep climb down to the river either on the bus or at the yurt (HQ). Had to wait a long time for elderly participants to make it down.Lots of fun.Lots of adrenaline (1 if our party bailed but guides were quick to get him back in the boat).Long trip, great rapids, great value. 100% would book again.

The owner, Mark, took us down the Elk on stand-up paddle boards. He equipped us with excellent gear and training and was patient and supportive as we ventured down the river. We found him to be a consummate professional with great personality. Thanks again, Mark!

Used their daily shuttle service from Calgary Airport to Fernie. They were very accommodating, communicative and punctual. Great experience overall!
