I went to this hair salon with high hopes for a new hair color. Unfortunately, the results were extremely disappointing. The color didn't even last for three days. I paid a lot of money and four hours of my time for a service that didn't deliver what was promised. When I contacted the salon to express my dissatisfaction, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. Overall, I cannot recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality hair services. The color not lasting for more than 3 days is a major issue, and the staff's lack of expertise is concerning. It's best to find a more reputable and reliable salon for your future hair needs.

Got my hair coloured to a dark base with burgundy highlights a few months ago. I liked it in the beginning but it quickly faded, almost after two washes and changed to a much lighter brown-blonde shade, never had this affect after getting this shade. The hairstylists were friendly during the service but won’t be going back to this place as the high price doesn’t justify the work.

The staff and services provided from start to finish were superb. Boiana was my colourist for a full highlight and the placement and tone was perfect! Saige toned and styled my hair and was extremely professional and I was so happy with my experience! Highly recommend!

Fabrik Hair Studio is local to my neighbourhood - Oshawa North. I’ve been to the salon twice. The first time for solid colour and cut and a second time for balayage/ombré colour and cut. I’ve had great experiences and been pleased with results. The staff is lovely and the salon is well designed. Front desk staff have also been outstanding. I will be back again!

I used to travel about 1 hour away from home to get a decent haircut, tried many different locations for 2 years and still wasn't satisfied with the styling and all that I got up until today.Went to fabrik's today and got one of the best haircut since 10 years ago, the person who gave me the nice shaded cut was Diana, wonderful and pleasant person and very professional.

I have to say I don’t prefer or enjoy leaving bad reviews however I thought it was necessary in this case to share my experience. I am not originally from Oshawa I’m fact I am about 2 hours away, and I happened to have a day off on Friday so I made my wax/facial appointment with my wax lady who lives in Oshawa. Yes I drive this far for the service because she is that good! I had some time between my appointment so I thought let’s see if I can get my hair done as well I wanted to be spontaneous and have a colour change.I walked into this salon and the receptionist in the front greeted me and gave me wonderful advice. She was so sweet I would give her a 5 star for her customer service! After speaking with her she mentioned that the only appointment that was available that day was at 630pm. (5hours later). She mentioned that perhaps I can just get a wash and a blowout and get consultation on my hair.I then went to my wax appointment and and came back and spend about 3 and 1/2 hours in the plaza. Now, I am. Busy mom who works and is a full time student. I don’t ever have the luxury of spending my time like this doing nothing waiting for a hair appointment in another city however I thought I need to treat myself so it may be worth it.Needless to say, Diana had me walking away in tears. She was so upset that she couldn’t cut my hair, she kept going on about it and how she is going to complain about the receptionist and i was so uncomfortable that I decided to walk out of the salon. I offered to pay for the shampoo and the receptionist said it would be on the house. I walked out of that salon in this Canadian weather with half dried hair! I wasted all that time to be severely disappointed.I wish I had read the reviews before I walked into the salon. I have to say I learned a huge lesson. Never go get service from a place without reading reviews.My next day off is in April, thank you Diana for ruining my time off that I rarely get!

I booked my 11 year old daughter in to get purple highlights done. She was so excited for the appt and when we showed up they told us they couldn’t do the colour she wanted as they didn’t block enough time. I was in shock. My daughter was heartbroken. All they did was try to explain the why behind needing the extra time. I am very experienced with getting hair colour and have never been treated the way I was at this salon. Would not recommend. I am left scrambling now to find another option for her.

I was looking for hair salon near me and this place came up. I was going through the reviews of this studio before getting an appointment where it said you are not welcome if you are a woman of colour(!). Nonetheless, i decided to give it a try and here is my experience-The lady in reception welcomed me, had my coat removed and got me seated. My stylist was Julia, a wonderful and talented lady. She helped me get my desired cut and she was very very polite and friendly. I absolutely had no problem making her understand what i want. She also recommended me products and tips for styling my hair which i actually am following and getting great results. Left the salon with a smile on my face!Thank you so much Julia and Fabrik, will come back for sure! :)
