Mastermind Toys

Horrible how management (or lack thereof) treat staff. My daughter called in that she couldn't make a few of her shifts because her father passed away unexpectedly and she need some time off to grieve. There was absolutely NO follow up call or text - no communication at all considering what she was going through. She was completely taken off the schedule permanently and her termination papers mailed to her (stating she quit). What a terrible way to treat a vulnerable young person grieving a parent’s death. I have only given a 1 star so I can leave this review. They deserve far less.

Excellent staff members! We were there right at opening on a Saturday morning. The staff members were so patient and kind and definitely went above and beyond to help us find the items we wanted! My son left the store in such a good mood that is sure to last for a long while! Thank you!

Nice little store, plenty of cool toys, but price is higher than other stores or online.

06-12-23: Bought a princess peach set there that had princess peach all over it and then in the fine print it said princess peach not included". I tried to return it and they said no. I will have to stick to amazon or other places that give returns in the future. Unfortunately my review has gone from 5 star to 1 star :(Here was my old review: Bought a Morphibian for my son for Christmas. It broke after using it for one hour. He was really disappointed. We called the store and spoke to the manager and they replaced it for us. Great customer service."

Just always come here for all your toy needs. This place rocks!

Great store to find birthday, or whatever, presents for all ages. They even offered gifts wrapping. Made shopping easy and efficient. The staff was friendly and eager to answer questions.

The Mastermind Toys Customer Service was super accommodating towards my previous 3doodler start + Pen Essentials set for exchanging it to a new one! And the person was very nice on customer chat on the website Catherine told my mastermind toys Coquitlam location about the issue & the people there reserved a brand new 3doodler start + pen set for me with my name! And the workers at this mastermind toys Coquitlam location gave me some recommendations of fully charging the 3doodler pen first before using it! They also have very awesome staff & nice & accommodating staff especially for their customer service chat on the website & they are also very super awesome & very nice & friendly! They also have amazing toys & board games,books & fidget toys and a whole bunch of other cool stuff for just about any age! I also love that they have fully FREE gift wrapping! So that's also a bonus!

They close early and the lady in the in the store deliberately ignored me as I was trying to show her the time. It’s a shame that they are that careless about their customer service. Real shame

1 star because zero is not an option. Was enquiring about a swing and the swing box had no details on connection… rude unhelpful lady at front desk. Was asking if I could return it if it doesn’t work/connect properly. She said no… final sale. I tried to explain to her that the swing doesn’t have any connection details showing on the box which is the single most important part so that my kids don’t get HURT. She didn’t care and said “just get some hooks”. Right… we need to know what size, how coarse the threads should be, depth of hooks into the beam. How can you rate something for 500 lbs without having some connection detail??? I’m off to spend my $$$ somewhere else now.

Excellent customer service and they do free wrapping for Christmas. Their selections are pretty good and the staffs are friendly and helpful. I would want to say a special thanks to Hailey she did a great job for doing the wrapping for my cousins gift and she is very friendly and very helpful.
