Roman's Hardwood Floors & Stairs

When looking for hardwood flooring, I was referred by an employee of a large Home Improvements’ dept store. Despite shopping at several hardwood outlets over 4 months, I kept returning to Roman’s because of the family business atmosphere, the warm welcomes, patience and advice as well as their huge selection of hardwoods. Roman visited the house before, during and with his wife Kasia when the installation was completed on the main floor of my bungalow in October. Although I had my mind set on replacing a dark hardwood with the same colouring, I couldn’t quite decide. Roman suggested I consider a lighter colour and gave me numerous samples to take home. I fell in love with a wide planked white oak which turned out to be stunning with my kitchen and furniture. The house looks so modern, yet elegant and so spacious with the light flooring. Everyone who visits loves the transition. There was no pressure to buy and the pricing was very reasonable. Roman kept in touch at every stage and suggested I consider custom oak floor vents to match the hardwood. Definitely worth the cost compared to cheaply made and pricey store bought vents. Roman’s installers ( both named Eric) were equally as professional in their measurements and precision work. Thank you to Roman, Kasia and their team.

We had a laminate floor and new baseboards installed on the main floor of just a smaller townhouse. Roman was recommended to us through a real estate agent and he was great to work with in the store, patient, helpful, gave us numerous samples. He came out to our place to give his suggestions, and the price was significantly better than we had expected going into it based on a couple other quotes. His installers (Ivan and Ty) were also amazing. They did a beautiful job, fast, efficient, really nice guys, kept masks on throughout the process, even helped with a couple other minor things in the house. The place looks completely transformed, better than we had hoped for, we are getting the place ready to sell but it looks so nice now we're rethinking. Big thanks to Roman, Ivan and Ty.

I bought engineering floor and steps from Roman for the renovation at my daughter’s condo , the quality of the products at Roman’s shop is very good and the delivery is fast, my daughter is very satisfied with Roman’s products.

Roman mixed up some stain for an existing staircase that was a near perfect match for the new hardwood we installed. I would recommend him.

While Romans workmanship is top notch, he has certainly changed (for the worse) over the last couple years. These days Roman will routinely and selectively choose to ignore you when issues arise. It’s unfortunate to see him grow into such an arrogant individual. Hopefully he will reflect a bit once he reads this, but I’m sure he will careless. I urge anyone reading this review to call someone who truly cares about the work they do for you and won’t put on a fake smile and persona when customer facing. Someone needed to call Roman out here.

We had a fairly large hardwood installation (1700 sq ft) that required old hardwood flooring, as well as some tile flooring, to be removed & new engineered hardwood installed. In addition, stairs were refinished to match the new flooring. We were very pleased with Roman & his team. The demo crew worked very hard & were very careful when removing the old flooring. The guys were friendly & professional. The installer for the new floors, Kris, was exceptional. He was very experienced & very good at his job. Roman acted as a Project Manager on the job ensuring that any of our concerns were handled in a timely manner & to our satisfaction. Kasia was also a pleasure to work with. She was very helpful when we were deciding which flooring to go with. Overall, we were very happy with the way the project was managed and we love the end result!
