Like others mentioned, the location, view and staff are fantastic. The food left a lot to be desired. I had the fish tacos, and the spicy" sauce they used was a sweet Thai chili jelly that completely threw off the flavor (mediocre to begin with) and was really not good. Basic grocery store salsa and flavored tortilla chips for the side. We also got a Ruben

Specializing in “tacos, tequila and more”, creating an option for Mexican in Green Lake…that you did, BUT a major staple in Mexican food is a rockin’ salsa. We tried a variety of Mexican dishes on a Friday night. The Chips & Salsa, should really be labeled Chips & Pico de Gallo, it’s not salsa friends and it was a bummer. The chips though, were warm and had a fun seasoning on them that was really good. Find a heavily seasoned one, even better. We also tried the Taquitos that had Chicken in them. They were ok, but again…it said it was served with Salsa and we had another Pico served to us…were you out of salsa? We also tried the Blackened Shrimp quesadilla. Roughly two whole shrimp in each triangle piece. The avocado crema in the the quesadilla gave it a nice creaminess. This one actually says that it’s served with Pico de Gallo, which it was. The shrimp had a great flavor, they’d be good served with rice. In the quesadilla it was a little lacking since two shrimp aren’t take up much space, you get lots of cheese in bites. (Or maybe chop up the shrimp?) Again, everything had good flavor but a Mexican-centric restaurant should have an awesome salsa…or just salsa, not everyone likes pico de gallo. Location is great, atmosphere is great, our server checked on us often and was friendly. We’ll check out the burgers next time, we will be back.

Overall not a bad experience, very noisy and the live music was just loud noises. The staff was very pleasant, we got there 2 minutes before kitchen closed and they served us instead of pushing us out as some places would have. The wings were pretty good, not much for parking but parking on the street and public parking down the block. There is a dock that would have been great to eat at.

We loved Big Johns on a Bloody Mary kind of day…. But, what day isn’t a Taco and Tequila kind of day? Delicious food!! Good service!!

The servers and bartenders here are some of the best I have seen in a long time. They are super nice, chatty, and offered great service. It took about 1 hour for us to get our food which isn't too bad because they told us they are short staffed. The food was ok, but was overpriced. The place may be short staffed because the owner is arrogant and needs to learn how to treat customers better. You can probably also see that from some of his replies to other reviews.

Great food but kitchen took over an hour and we had a big party with a sunset cruise. Half ate half ended up to goThat took another 2o mins. Grat staff great food but that's what happened. Would go back. Our bill was over 1000 so .....That's all

On a less than busy night, we attempted to enjoy an appetizer here. Unfortunately, we were able to watch another couple be sat, eat and check out before we were able to have a drink and the Queso curds. We had dirty drinks from previous guests in front us the ENTIRE TIME. It was dirty and beyond slow. Service was unkind too...after all that we didn't even get a thank you! Much less an apology. There was 3 servers too just leaning by the register. Had to ask them 3 times for the check. We have heard from others not to go here, but had to try for ourselves. Love the location and has atmosphere potential, but something about someone else's waste in your eating space eludes true atmosphere. Disappointment to say the least.

The view of the lake is stunning. The service is great. We came in around 3 pm and the staff gladly made sure we got a meal even though this was the down time. Because it was Friday, fish was on the menu. I have never been served a better cod meal. I had the sandwich which featured two huge pieces of fish for a measly 8 bucks. Jack the bartender makes great drink where you are never a stranger.. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My only reservation is that they will be so busy it will be hard to get in. Do not miss this gem if you are in Green Lake. We drove over an hour to get there. It was worth every mile. We have already made a date with friends to make the trip in a few weeks. Don't miss this gem.

Very big surprise to find a place of this quality at this price on the green! Usually pages around here are very expensive and to find decently priced food, we were worried it would be garbage food. It definitely was not. They were out of a lot of stuff but what they did have tasted amazing! Thank you for the good food at a good location for a decent price! We will be back!

Put our names in for 4 at 6 pm. Grabbed a cocktail at the bar. Had to advise bartender how to make the drink. Then we said we were ready & were told we would have a 90 minute wait! Left. Not happening.
