Northland Animal Hospital

In 2017 I took my rabbit in to get spayed as this was the only vet that was qualified to care for “exotic animals” in the soo. Soon after the surgery, which cost almost all of my money, my rabbit had a life threatening infection. I took her back to the vet, payed $90 for some antibiotics and healing ointment. I was presented with a few care options but I was all out of money. The doctor decided to see and treat my rabbit EVERYDAY for two weeks and every second day the third week completely FOR FREE. He monitored her and gave her clean dressings everyday. I continued to administer the antibiotics twice a day and keep her living space clean as a whistle. He saved her life and in turn mine as well. Three and a half years later she is still alive and well. I am eternally grateful for the genuine care and generosity shown by this vet. THANK YOU DR CRAIG!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Craig and his staff. Thank you for all your years of amazing service and being there for me during the highs and lows for all my pets.

I just got off the phone with Northland inquiring about a possible payment plan for services that my six dog may require. The receptionist was very cheery and polite when she answered my call but as soon as I asked about a possible payment plan her voice changed dramatically when she sternly told me that is definitely not possible here". I am 70 years old and live on a pension so paying several hundred dollars up front is impossible for me. I was just asking

Lady making the appointments is a joke. Arrive for a 12:30 appointment she set up (which was their lunch break) only for her to say we owe $82 for a missed appointment. Horrible attitude and could be easily replaced, took no responsibility for her mistake.

Best vet in town. By far. Dr Craig and his assistants are caring and wonderful. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. But... The receptionist must not be the same one from back when we were last there in 2019 or covid and the regulations and vet shortage has completely got to her and pushed her to lose her passion for her job. She is beyond rude and inconsiderate to people's emotional attachment to their pets. She's painful to deal with and it's impossible to communicate with her the way a patient and receptionist should.

Horrible receptionist with absolutely no heart. I was looking for assistance with putting my 19 year old lab down and she says, I'm sorry we are not taking new clients. Umm...it's a one time appointment? She won't be back! Would only help if I classified it as an emergency. It's not an emergency, but a compassionate and caring owner making the heartbreaking decision to end her pain and suffering. Will NEVER be calling you again.

Our dog, Dazzle a 10 year old Shetland Sheepdog, had a very large growth on her right eye, one on her snout and another one on her chest. No southern ontario vet would operate on her eye or snout and sent us to specialists.Covid delayed the surgeries and we are happy they did in retrospect. Dr.Craig did an assessment and assured us he could do it. We were a bit nervous based on what previous vets had said…but we went ahead and he did an amazing job. She looks like a new dog! We had pathologies done as well and luckily they were all benign. The cost was reasonable and wecwere pleaded with the gollow up. Stitches came out yesterday! Thank younto Dr. Craig and the whole team!❤️

The staff at Northland were very courteous and caring, Dr. Craig is fantastic, knowledgeable and made sure that my Hammond was well taken care of. Dr. Craig easily made a scary situation a very pleasant experience and took care of the issue immediately. Highly recommend and will be returning in the future.

Best Veterinarian in the City. Dr. Craig and his wonderful staff have been taking care of our pets for more than 25 years. I cannot imagine what we would do without him. We highly recommend Northland Animal Hospital.

Dr. Craig and staff are the best vets/staff I have ever had the privilege of meeting! They have taking nothing but the best of care for my two rabbits. Highly recommend for anyone in the Soo looking for excellent rabbit care! Thank you so much for all you do.
