Dr. Larry Chang - Allergy & Asthma Clinic

Doctor knows what he's doing. I am just finishing year 2 of a 5 year program to rid myself of allergies. Within the first 6 months I was able to stay overnight at my girlfriend's without wanting to die. She has 5 cats and 1 dog I am/was badly allergic to.I only wish I knew about this many years ago.4/5 because:-You need to be aware that your year is up and that you need to make your own appointment to get re-checked and updated, in advance. They don't contact you when it's time.- Hours are not the best, but it's his business to run when and how he wants to.

After reading several negative reviews of Dr. Chang I was nervous as I was referred to him by my GP.I drove a collective 6 hours to see Dr. Chang for food allergies that I previously tested positive for as I wanted an updated idea of what I was reacting to in addition to following my doctor's recommendations.After sitting in the waiting room and having a scratch test completed on my arms by his nurse, Dr. Chang walked in and WITHOUT LOOKING AT MY ARMS simply said, You don't have food allergies".I was confused and he said

I try to only write positive reviews when I receive service worthy of a mention. Therefore, I’d like to start with my positive feedback. Dr. Chang was kind, maybe direct and to the point, but that’s what I expected coming from a medical background myself. His nurse was lovely. I don’t remember her name, but she was helpful, informative, and seemed compassionate. Now, the reason for my post today is the receptionist. Without being rude I’d like to say Dr. Chang would be better off not having a receptionist at all rather then allowing her to have contact with patients.

This place is a scam. They book you in from a referral without even confirming with you. They supposedly left a VM that I never got and the next thing I've got was a letter in the form of an invoice saying I owe them $50 because I missed the appointment. I called to confirm that they had never spoken directly with me or have any records of them having me confirm the appointment.They said that if I ever want to see the Dr. I needed to pay those $50 or else I would not be seen.This seems to me like a scam and I can not believe how rude the receptionist was when answering the phone and trying to make sense of this.I am glad I never went, looking at the reviews it makes me understand it would have been a waste of time anyways.

Not a good experience with this Doctor or his very rude nurseI took some paperwork to show them , that I thought would be helfpful, I didn’t even get to explain what it was, I was simply ignored. Dr. Did not seem interested or engaged in the visit. It was a complete waste of time for me.

The only thing more useless than the doctor is the front desk receptionist.I waited an hour and a half after my designated appointment time to be told that they don't test for my assumptive allergy and that they had no solutions for me.The front desk receptionist, who he must've first discovered ordering via the McDonalds drive-thru, rudely told me they couldn't do anything for me and had no additional support or ideas.Why waste over an hour and a half of my time? Why not tell me ahead of time they couldn't test for my allergy? Why not do so in a customer-facing manner rather than with rudeness?Find a competent doctor and a customer-facing staff with an iota of intelligence. These folks are a waste of time.

I was referred after having a severe allergic reaction on 3 separate occasions - swollen lips tongue and throat. Doctor hardly looked at me, told me I have seasonal allergies and not anaphylaxis and sent me on my way. Clearly I wasn’t tested for my trigger however no further investigation was done and I was shuffled out. Waste of time.

Very welcoming office. The nurse and Dr. Chang were very informative and nice. I don't understand the negative reviews?! Thank you!!
