First time visiting, was made to feel very welcome, Vic gave us the history if the place and Tammy was great, had fun and our burgers were delicious, wine and beer also very good, very reasonable prices. Thanks to both of you, Liz snd Bob

Absolutely amazing service, and friendly staff!! Very delicious food! Steak was cooked to perfection, fries are mmmmm delicious and the steamed veggies were actually very tasty!. Absolutely will be coming back!

First time trying Sammy's. Had a great experience. The food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere was very nice and rustic and the staff was fantastic and friendly. Thanks to Vick, Sue and Carlos for a great afternoon. Will definitely be back

Ordered a Nacho Platter on SkipTheDishes and it was nearly the worst nachos I've had before. Completely drenched in stringy lettuce that was just plain unenjoyable. Obviously isn't very representative of the restaurant as a whole though

Don’t bother wasting your time or money. We ordered Snake Bites, which after 10 minutes, we were advised they didn’t have because they “couldn’t get it from the supplier”. We ordered deep fried pickles instead. DEEP fried they were. After 25 minutes of a burning smell coming from the kitchen, we received burnt to a crisp pickles, half breaded. At the same time, we also received our chicken wings. Incredibly small, overcooked and tasteless chicken. How incredibly disappointing.During our 1 hour experience, the vulgar language coming from the other patrons and ear-piercing loud live music was just as hard to stomach as the food.Our server was pleasant, none of these situations were her fault. So much potential in this small restaurant. Disappointing indeed.

My girlfriend and I decided to try Sammy’s after driving past the place for a couple of months. After arriving we were handed a piece of paper with a quarter of the listed items on there menu online, no biggie. Ordered 2 orders of wings, and a order of deep fried mushrooms. When the mushrooms came out we were disappointed to say the least. They were slimey not very well cooked. On too the wings that took 30-40 minutes to arrive in a mostly empty store, they were decent but the portion seemed a little small compared to other places I have been. But the icing on the cake was when we were waiting for our food the cook (who I assume is the owner aswell) came out and started drinking with other customers. Very unprofessional. Lousy food and not very good service (the servers were great just the food service wasn’t on par)

We ordered takeout from here last night for the first time. We are always happy to support local businesses and this one is nice and close to home in Cavan. We ordered some burgers, fries and onion rings. The fries and onion rings were great, although the portion for a “family” fries size was quite small. My only complaint would be the burgers. They were ok and completely edible but I was quite disappointed with the fact that clearly weren’t home made. Just a regular frozen burger I could have made at home on my barbecue. I expected this place to have fresh home made burgers…we are willing to try them again but won’t be ordering burgers again.

Worst food I’ve ever had. Completely inedible and had to be thrown out. The chicken was so overcooked I could barely chew it, the nachos had about 1 tbsp of cheese on them and the chips were stale and soggy because they were covered with half a cup of lettuce and olives. Extremely disappointing.
