Joel at Positive Solar Energy was exceptionally knowledgable and professional. He and his team provided all the information we needed to make a decision, and then installed the heat pump and hot water on demand over three days. As promised, the heat pump is ultra silent and offers cooling as well. Joel also helped us to find the energy auditor who will help us ensure we get the rebates on offer. Overall, very impressed and would recommend.

Joel upgraded electrical panel to 200 amps. TechBC identified multiple electrical code violations requiring extensive repair costing me over $4K. Joel replaced gas furnace & hot water heater with heat pump & hybrid water heater. He failed to cap the gas-line in the crawl space, resulting in gas leak identified by Fortis as due to his error. Joel did the repair but Fortis returned when gas smell persisted, and had to do a second repair. The heat pump he installed failed within 3 months and he had to return and repair. Joel's unqualified assistants installed a vent on the roof for the heat recovery ventilation system he installed. The vent installation was botched (wrong kind of vent, holes left in roof)- he did not check their work - and had to be repaired by a professional roofer.
