Great place to take the family for indoor ice skating. Schedules may change but they usually have a FREE General admission public skate at least twice a week (Sunday, Tuesday nights). They don't have skate rentals so make sure to bring your own skates.

Fenside is the home of the Parkwoods Hockey League, an absolute gem of the neighbourhood. The heaters in the stands don't work often, but there's a decent-sized warm area and large dressing rooms. The parking lot is sometimes tight in the winter.

This isn't a fancy modern rink, but it has 4 spacious dressing rooms that are very well heated (great for getting out of the cold or recovering from frozen fingers and toes as a bench coach). The snack bar has limited items but is usually open on weekends. Parking is a bit tough between games, but is usually sufficient and you can park on the street.

Great place to play tennis even during the night, the lights lit up the court but it gets pretty busy and sometimes. I did experience quite often a group of soccer players would come play soccer tennis" on the court

Some of the worst arenas we have to play ice hockey in. Stands... Wait, what stands...? Very cold. When you enter the rink the tiny area in the middle is enclosed in glass, great! No?Wrong, it is supposed to be the warm place for spectators (mostly parents) however, with the sliding door toward the changeroom and rink area, which is constantly opening and closing letting the freezing cold air inside it is a waste of tax dollars as heating is constantly on. This is due to the parents crammed in this tiny space triggering the sensor to engage the door opening mechanism frequently, without any need.Ice surface is small, the boards curve awkwardly under some sharp angle and then the curve is kind of flat in the middle, causing the puck to bounce under the unexpected angle.Parking is a joke. God forbid 3 games in a row having to take place here. You have to park 200m or more somewhere down the street.

Decent arena. Not a lot of parking spaces in the lot, but you can park on the street outside. The arena has a greater area with a snack bar for spectators. The changing area for recreational programs is tight. Staff are friendly.
