Wildberry Country Lodge

This is the kind of place I hunt for while on vacation. The Wildberry Country Lodge provides clean, basic, comfortable accommodations- it was the best sleep we had during our stay in Newfoundland! The rooms are spacious, and the views are dreamy, as is the communal space where you have access to a full kitchen and comfy couches. The owner is kind and generous, and if you’re lucky, you’ll have a chat and learn about the history of the lodge as well as his own personal story. I loved my stay - was grateful for the awesome breakfast which set us up perfectly to keep driving north. I highly highly recommend.

Nice rooms, very helpful and attentive host. And the most exorbitant breakfast I have had for years, there were everything from eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, 5 kinds bread, and and and..... really value for money

Such a lovely little place for a good price. It’s a bit out of the way, but still close enough to all the sights in the area. The owner is very welcoming and does everything to make you feel at home. The place has a rustic and authentic Newfoundland feel. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay.

The owner is very pleasant and cooked a lovely breakfast.The establishment could benefit from better signage and some exterior landscaping as we weren't sure if we'd arrived at a closed establishment at first.The rooms were clean and cozy. However could not find the WiFi network at all.

We had a good and comfortable stay. No one was there when we checked in, but the owner Lyndon returned the next morning and cooked fresh breakfast with eggs and sausages for the guests. Would recommend! Cash only.

A great place to stay. It's unique & the owner is a very kind & welcoming person. The room is cozy and spacious. The communal area as a tv with sofas, a fully furnished kitchen for you to cook & many tables & seats. It's a quiet place about 20/30 min away from the Vikings attractions. If you are lucky you will be able to see caribou & mooses. The establishment itself needs a bit of work but never judge a book by is cover & you will have a great time at Lynnden place.

When we pulled in to Wildberry, we wondered whether it was closed! There were no other cars and no one seemed to be there! No signs, no landscaping, no sign of life! However, once we got to meet Lyndon and experience his unique Newfoundland hospitality, we were hooked! This is a unique place and only those who can appreciate all that this innkeeper has to offer can truly savour a stay at the lodge! The place is clean, the rooms are adequate and the experience is unique! The variety of food at breakfast, the outside fire at night and Lyndon’s generous spirit are unforgettable! Thank you Lyndon! We shall return!
