Holiday Inn Winnipeg-South, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here for one night while passing through. REALLY bad area of town, with not a lot of security to compensate. Parking lots are open for anyone to access and side doors to hotel are open for public as well. Rooms are very out dated and have an odd smell. Staff were ok and accommodating for my dog. However breakfast was not complimentary unless you’re part of a sports team. Do not recommend staying if you’re able to stay elsewhere.

Attended an event. The staff were courteous and friendly. Nice environment.Would have appreciated a guide to assist with parking.In the ladies washroom, only two stalls were available for use, while the others were locked (2 or 3, not sure)

The front desk staff were all very friendly and professional. After getting to my room I quickly found that the family in the adjoining room was very loud (kids being kids, not a problem) so I asked if there was anything else available and was moved. The rooms were both recently renovated but the bathrooms were still quite dated. Around 1am the ceiling in the entranceway outside the bathroom had something vibrating and rattling very loudly inside it. I don't know what it was but I ended up pressing up on the ceiling... something moved and the buzzing stopped. Win.I've stayed in much worse hotels so this was nothing. About all you can expect from an older building. I would stay here again.
