I came to Winnipeg from Denmark to have Dr. Gdih perform my aqua laser eye surgery. The whole team at Aqua i Laser were very friendly and informative which made the process feel so comfortable and professional.When meeting with Dr. Gdih I was able to get all my questions answered and the process of the procedure was completely as described. I was on a busy schedule while in Winnipeg so I was hesitant about the recovery time as I had appointments and functions that I had to attend. Dr. Gdih was patient and assured me that I would be recovered to meet my schedule.During the procedure I felt very comfortable as Dr. Gdih was informing me what was occurring so I felt relaxed and the process was very quick with both my eyes being completed in less than a minute. Immediately after the surgery I was able to walk to the vehicle that was picking me up.For the next two and a half days I had some irritation in my eyes, they felt very dry and itchy. Also had a head pain and I was very sensitive to light. The first full day after the surgery I spent mostly sleeping or resting on the couch with my eyes closed. There was definitely discomfort in the immediate days after the surgery but no extreme pain that was making the process unbearable.By the 4th day after my surgery, I was fully functional and carrying on with all my daily activities. I had to wear my sunglasses when outside but I was able to meet with friends, shop and go out for dinner. On the 5th day post surgery I was able to attend a wedding with no issues and most people were amazed that I had a laser eye procedure so recently, because I was pain free.I would strongly recommend Dr. Gdih and the Aqua i Laser procedure. This procedure has freed me from glasses and contacts for good and was done by a very skilled and outgoing individual in Dr. Gdih. Both Dr. Gdih and his staff are top tier and they made the whole process seamless and amazing. They treated me like I was their family member so the whole process felt safe and I understood what was happening.I am very grateful to Dr. Gdih and his staff for the amazing job they have done with my eyes and would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about this procedure, no matter where you live, it is worth it!

I had laser eye surgery with Dr. Gdih about one week ago today which I can honestly say, was one of the most positive experiences I have had, and one of the best decisions I could have ever made. For the last couple of years, while I was generally a contact lens wearer, I had gone back and forth with the idea of having the surgery done due to some problems I was having with my eyes (because of the lenses), and the fact that wearing glasses for me is both uncomfortable and impractical for my lifestyle.When I met with Dr. Gdih less than one month ago, we began discussing the possibility of laser eye surgery, and at first I was really skeptical. Financially it was a commitment and I wondered how I would feel if it wasn't as great as others had claimed it to be. After some setting up and cancelling of appointments due to my uncertainty, I finally decided it was worth it and Dr. Gdih once again happily agreed to meet with me to examen my eyes, calm all of my fears and answer any of my questions. Additionally, during this time the staff were really kind and helpful in making me feel heard and safe.The day of the surgery for me, was terrifying at first, but once again was met with kindness, patience and compassion. The surgery itself was easy and painless. While the first two days post-surgery were physically challenging, I am already driving, back to my every day routine, practicing yoga, and on the computer writing this review! I cannot recommend this clinic nor this doctor enough! Thank you so much all of your kindness and generosity!

Dr Gdih Gdih and the staff at Aqua i Laser in Winnipeg are fantastic. I was told by other facilities that I could not have the Refractive Lens Exchange procedure and I didn't qualify for Lasix so I would have to wait until I was at least 50 yrs old. I considered traveling to another province or even to the US or Mexico but then I found Dr. Gdih who felt I was a great candidate for the procedure. I am so happy to be able to now lead a more active lifestyle free of glasses and contacts. Being able to wake up each day and.see clearly has been such a life changing gift.

My experience at Aqua I laser clinic was very positive. I had poor vision that led to chronic use of eyeglasses and contant lenses for many years. I wanted to be free of my glasses and this became true after I have had a new procedure (PRK )done by Dr.Gdih at Aqua I Laser.Every aspect of the experience was better than my expectations .Starting from the welcoming friendly receptionist and nurse ending with having the surgery done for both eyes within minutes ,no cuts no pain.Dr.Gdih is very professional and dose his best to explain in detailed yet simple way about your eyes' conditions and about the procedure.I definitely recommend this clinic for everyone who wants to be between safe and caring hands while having their vision corrected.

REFRACTIVE LENS EXCHANGE. YOU NEED TO READ THIS!!I wish I had done this sooner!Superb experience through the entire process. For years I have had the highest power contact lens I could find. I also had astigmatism in both eyes. My optometrist recommended I see Dr Gdih and I'm so glad I did. Exceptionally professional. The procedure was virtually painless. My surgery took place around 430pm. By 830pm I had 20/20 vision with no contacts or glasses! The very next day (a Sunday) Dr Gdih called me personally to see how I was doing and told me my vision would get even better! Not only did my vision get even better, even colors are more vivid! I cannot recommend both this procedure or Dr Gdih enough. This is a life changing procedure. At my two week check up, when the assistant did a quick vision check on me she asked me to read the letter on the screen. I read each row of letters, smaller and smaller until she was done. I had to ask her if there were any smaller letters I could read. I went though three more rows! When I read three letters out of the tiniest row they had, she had to walk right up to the wall to see if I was correct!

A friend of mine had her eye laser surgery done at Aqua and was so happy, honestly I was so scared to have it done and even to think about it. When I went there I felt very comfortable after I talked to the staff and after they told me I am candidate. Meeting Dr. Gdih and talking to him prior to my surgery was very reassuring. After one week of my surgery I was able to see miles away without glasses. I highly recommend Aqua i Laser for those who are seeking glasses freedom. I went to Dr. Gdih about 3 years ago as a result of a referral from my local eye Dr. I'm 53 years old now and my eye sight is perfect. I had a hard time reading a licence plate of the car in front of me prior to the surgery and now my distance vision is perfect and my reading is great too. No side effects and the best part is that i'll never have to get cataract surgery in the future.If you are considering improving your eye sight i would definitely recommend Dr. Gdih and aqua i laser.

I had my eye surgery just under a year ago. Full disclosure, Dr. Gdih is a personal friend. Because of this potential conflict of interest, I hesitated to write this review but I am truly impressed and happy with his services that I decided it only fair to write this. I am a physician and during my job I rely on my vision to interpret diagnostic imaging and treat patients accordingly. I had managed for years with glasses but have contemplated corrective eye surgery for a while. I was concerned about Lasik and the increased eye dryness common after such procedure as I already had issues with this. Lasik requires a partial cut in the cornea to create a flap, this causes corneal denervation decreasing tear production. Theoretically this is less of an issue with the technology used by Aqua Laser as there is no cutting occurring.Dr. Gdih and his clinical staff are extremely professional and proficient. On my first meeting with Dr. Gdih he reassured me about the risks and explained the procedure and follow up in full detail. Throughout the process I was always aware of what would happen next and my expectations were met. The day of the procedure went smoothly, the procedure itself lasted seconds! I was forewarned about significant burning the night of the procedure and boy they were not kidding. The next morning things were better and my vision had improved significantly. By day five I was able to drive and by day 9 I was back to work treating patients.My vision now is perfect and my eye dryness is no worse than before. Glasses are now a distant memory. I truly have no regrets doing this surgery and would recommend it to anyone.

Two months ago I had my laser eye surgery done by Dr. Gdih at Aqua i Laser and the impact of being glasses free has been incredibly amazing. From start to finish it has been a positive experience. I met Dr. Gdih to see if I was a good candidate for the procedure and he approved me to safely proceed with the surgery. Everything was clearly explained to me about what I should expect during the surgery as well as what recovery would be like. To be honest I was feeling nervous just before surgery but when I got into the laser suite and was greeted by Dr. Gdih and his assistant I felt a wave of calm wash over me as every part of the procedure was explained as we went along. During surgery Dr. Gdih was very reassuring and his assistant would let me know how much time was left on the clock for my treatment (both of my eyes were under 40 seconds of treatment each) and I experienced no pain! After the surgery Dr. Gdih asked me to put my old glasses back on and immediately there was a huge difference. As I was expecting, recovery wasn't as easy as the surgery; I was very light sensitive and my eyes felt quite painful for the first 48 hours but it was well worth it!! He has followed up with me many times to make sure I'm happy with my vision and to answer any questions that I've had. He told me that it would be a significant life improvement for someone with my prescription strength, but I was still nervous. My sister had the procedure done, and after seeing her freedom from glasses and contacts, I decided to get the procedure myself.
