Shoppers Drug Mart

The pharmacy team here is phenomenally kind and knowledgeable. Filling prescriptions was an easy and I would recommend this location to anyone.We were greeted by the beauty counter attendant, the Shoppers’ itself was very clean, and they had distancing arrows.Unfortunately, as in most Shoppers’ locations, their sanitizer is still slimy, sticky and a danger to anyone with sensitive skin.

Woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude, and irritable, snarky responses to simple questions. Pharmacist was no better and incredibly unhelpful. Have had the same issues in person as on the phone. Very unprofessional.

This Shoppers just got renovated but I actually prefer the old layout better. The electronics area is now behind their tills. Kind of annoying to stand behind people paying to see what kind of things they have. The older layout is 100x better. Def can take your time deciding what to get and see the full selection.

It is unbelievable to see any one star review of the Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy at the Mall. They always get voted Best Pharmacy in Medicine Hat, and for good reason: I have always gotten my prescriptions on time or earlier than expected, the staff have always been polite & professional, former owner/pharmacist Leanne herself even did work on my behalf without me having to ask (such as confirm dosages and such with my doctor), and they have gone waaaayy out of their way to resolve even the most minor issues. Things are no different with new owner/pharmacist Charity; the quality of service under her leadership remains the same: the best in the city.I have also seen them continuously deal with unbelievably rude customers who brazenly demand of them things that are both impossible (or illegal). Then when the staff politely refuse they get yelled at. But the staff deal with it all professionally and effectively.Thankfully you don't have to take my word for any of this. Just go to SDM and Do business with Charity and her staff. They will easily demonstrate how wrong these negative reviews are, and you'll get great service.

If you want to experience what a harrassment and discrimination are just come to this place for your medication.. disgusting people with no education in how to treat customers.. very sick narcissistic staff members ( Nazism)

Lots of people in here who are willing to help. Manager is kind and is super helpful/understanding. Reason for a 3 star is theres one lady who works there and idk what I did but she has an issue with me to the point its uncomfortable when I see her, she also refuses to check you out at the till unless you have cash. Multiple other workers are willing to help at the tills however. The post office ladies are very nice as well :)

Been waiting on a prescription for 2 weeks now. Last time went up they said it would be delivered to my door but not once mentioned there would be a charge. Well I dont have the money as of right now. I DID HAVE IT when I put my prescription in but had no idea it was not covered by my insurance. So now I have to wait another week to get my prescription.I think this is ridiculous. Also I do believe that your delivery driver needs to keep his mouth shut as he walks away from someone's door who has every right for being upset having to deal with such unprofessionalism that is taking place in the pharmacy.

I have been a regular customer of Shoppers Drug Mart since 2008. But a recent incident at the Medicine Hat Mall branch has changed my perspective towards them. I went there to pick up a prescription order for my wife. The agent who was helping me with this told me to come back after 5 minutes to pick it up. When I got back after 5 minutes the order was not ready then she told me that I will be ready in a minute. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes and the order was still not ready. When it was eventually ready she brought the order to me and said that the insurance claim for 1 of the prescription items was declined by my insurance company even tough I paid nothing for the same item 3 weeks ago and that I have to submit a claim for it. I paid for it then submitted a claim for it online. Even though it was 100% covered by my insurance I was reimbursed a partial amount with a note that the maximum amount for that product was paid. I called my insurance company the next day and they said I was most likely over charged for that specific prescription item and asked me to talk to the Pharmacy. I went back to the Medicine Hat Mall branch and explained everything to them. They were like I should have come back to the Pharmacy prior to submitting the claim as the agent did something wrong on her end and we are going to lose money if we pay you back the difference. That really made me angry. How would I know what happens behind the scene?? I pay tons of money for my private insurance to cover my health expenses and they expect me to pay extra money out of my pocket for an error they made!! The supervisor then got involved and agreed to pay me back the extra money I was charged and apologized for the confusion. They should train their staff properly and stop overcharging patients for drugs. I will never go back to Shoppers again and will never encourage my families and friends to use their services.

Useless!! Used the phone app for refill and the prescription was not ready. They told me it would be ready the next day but it wasn't. 2 days later they phone me and tell me it's ready for pickup----they said they would deliver it as I had already made 2 trips for the prescription. This is the second time I've picked up from them and the other prescription was not done on time either. That time resulted in a 2 hour wait. Why would I go back...just to reward incompetence and make myself even more annoyed........think twice about using these guys

For the worst customer service... shop here!! Long in-store wait times for prescriptions - their idea of 20 minutes is more like an hour ... if it's going to be an hour, say so, dont keep turning me away with a theyre just checking it"! Went to pick it up and saw 8 people in line... got a coffee
