After seeing our vax pass we were seated, offered coffee and drinks and time to peruse the menu. The live entertainment was a different touch. We both had the Valentines day specials, and were pleased with the food, as well as the deserts.This time our specials were served warm, even the french fries which usually are piping hot were only warm the beautiful cod fillet the same, but the kicker was the woman who seated us, tattoos on bolth arms and a nose ring that looked like snot. Yuk. Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon.

This was a great place to stop and grab a bite. The restaurant looks out onto the ocean where we saw whales throughout our meal. The fish and chips were fantastic and the place is very honey and comfortable.

On a road trip in Nfld - Stopped in here not knowing what to expect, and lucked into the best fish and chips of our trip! The service was friendly and quick, the portions were generous and delicious. Definitely recommend a visit. We also enjoyed the view! Definitely a hidden gem :)

Brown's was recommended to us by a local person with Celiac disease, like me. Our server was the reason the restaurant has a Gluten-Free menu, so I felt comfortable they would understand the need for care.I chose pan-fried Cod and fries, which was simple but Excellent. The Cod had sautéed onions on top and the fries are made in a dedicated fryer.I would absolutely return!

Overpriced lunch, ordered the seafood chowder which we didn’t really enjoy, have had much better, vinegary not creamy enough and lacking seafood. Mussels were good. Wine overpriced Servers friendly but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

I’ve eaten here several times , and the food has always been excellent. I’ve recommended Brown’s to several people who have come from St.John’s to eat here . They have all said it’s the best ever.I highly recommend this restaurant.

A Large" poutine and pepsi cost $19. The gravy was alright but definitely not top notch. Has that generic "burnt"/"very reused oil" type after taste. Shredded cheese instead of curds. As a comparison

I took my wife out for mothers day May 14She had the turkey dinner which was OKI had the Roast Beef DinnerThere was one piece of beef on the plate sliver thin and tastelessI was totally disappointed.
