nice selection of beef, the owner is very charming. good food, well cook (it's rare if you ask rare while many restaurent tend to overcook) nice selection of wine. The plate are classic" its meant for steak lover. vegetable

Very cute cozy place, love the atmosphere and decor. We were 3 adults and 2 kids. The food was incredible, fried calamari was cooked to perfection and the lobster risotto was so creamy and tasty I enjoyed all of it! My bf had the sea food plate and he was impressed how the chef cooked everything and didn’t overcook anything.

We are visiting from Ontario and never enjoyed a steak like these anywhere. The staff exceded our expectations and made us feel so welcome. If you are looking for an amazing place to eat then this is the place. Merci!

Nice ambiance and decor friendly owner and staff food was great and prices were reasonable.Our group was hesitating between 1855 and a more known establishment such as Madisson.I am glad we chose 1855.I would recommend to a friend

Best steakhouse I've ever been to, hands down. Everything is cooked to perfection, we were 3, ordered the Tomahawk steak, it was like cutting through butter.The steak didn't need any sauce but the ones served with it were obviously made from scratch by someone who knows what he's doing. The fries and calamri were fried just right, not drenched in oil or soggy.The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Place was fairly quiet, music in the background as it should be so we won't have to scream over it to talk to one another.I'll definitely be going again.

Mixed. As someone mentioned before, the place is very loud. Like you don't go there on a date hahahaha. We were a group of 10 during a Saturday evening and the place was almost full. So im no expert at steak house but here are our group observations. Awesome fried calmar and awesome beef tartare in entree. Cut of the steaks we had were very awesome too. But the steaks come without spices (or not enough spices). So you end up with the side sauce saving the experience. So the lost points are :- meat not spicy enough (or is it the standard for a steak house?)- sides like veggies and fries are served on different plates so it feels like an large plate with only one steak and two other small bowls arriving on the table after containing the fries and veggies. I would suggest to have all the stuff in the same plate; it would look more complete and impressive.- water refill happened once during our 3 hours at the place- staff was overloaded. No doubt they were very good but they were a little bit outnumbered.Now, for 140$ for two persons including two steaks, two entrees and one desert, my bar gets pretty high. Even if the experience was good, the place is good looking, staff is great, meat cut is excellent too, I ended up wanting to be more impress for that price range. As a conclusion, I encourage you to go there and give it try I might went there on a bad day too. :)

We came in spontaneously and when we arrived we were the only ones there. I think the evening reservations didn't start yet so we were lucky to be on our own. Great food. Not a lot of options but the quality is what you pay for, so very good. We took the aged meat and the seafood plate. The plates were nicely made and the food was amazing. Drinks were spot on and service was awesome!

The experience was so strange and weird. The steak wasn't cook as requested, he cooks like how he wanted ( and didn't ask how we want our steak at the beginning).The steak was served with some vegetables and fried (over cooked).In the end , my cheesecake was upside-down because of the way he put in the take out box ( for leftover)We would like to support the local but we don't want ourselves to be scammed.
