Shugyō Karate Dōjō

Our son joined this dojo in end of summer last year. We are so pleased with the instructor Sensai Sean. His ability to control the children and Instill discipline and respect is admirable. He works so well with the kids and they seem to really enjoy themselves. Our son never wants to skip or miss karate. It feels like a community and family that we are part of.

I've been attending the adult classes at this dojo since the start of the year and it has been amazing! Awesome instruction and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to other adults who are looking to get into or back into martial arts!

I’m part of the adult classes - never too old to start something new. I have been a member for 3 years and I love it. Not only does it keep me active, it increases my flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. Come join us - challenge yourself!!!!

It’s really very good karate class specially teacher he is really a great teacher very knowledgeable in this field and dedicated towards his work and giving full attention each and every student and making sure they’re posturing. Making sure every kids learns properly. I can give him 10 starts or more than that.

Being a little older and having odd schedules, my wife and I took Sensei Sean up on his offer of private lessons. And each time we go, I find myself in a happier place. My body moves better and I never feel pushed or rushed. Sensei is patient and only asks that we do as much as we can. I'd recommend this dojo to anyone looking to start Karate off right!

The Shugyo Karate Dojo is amazing! Sensei Sean is a 12/10 - he is an excellent role model to the students --- i.e. making values a regular discussion and recognizing students living the karate values. Further, he is very serious about karate - i.e. ensuring good technical form, good mental focus, and, even, good 'karate Japanese'. Above all, I am a fan of Sensei Sean because he is very inclusive, patient, and an extraordinary community builder (he always goes above and beyond to have celebrations, movie nights, and award nights with the dojo members). Highly recommend for students of all ages.

My kids have been members since September, highly recommend,They love it, and I have noticed big improvements on their focus and determination.They are 6, 6 & 5. Would highly recommend!

I'm on my third year at Shugyo Dojo, and I am having an amazing experience thus far. I have gained so much, physically, and mentally. If you are looking for traditional Okinawan goju ryu karate, then Sensei Gore, and the Shugyo Dojo are highly recommended.
