Great experience! We stayed at the hotel and booked one of the meeting rooms. The place is clean and well cared for. Sherri took great care of us; she and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. I would come back!

First time staying in this location. The quality of the rooms and their services actually impressed me. The rooms were pretty good. We choose a 3-bedroom room, but in that there was a separate room with a bed. This gave me a bit of privacy among the other beds. Also, their pool and their hot tubs facilities were amazing. Their breakfast service was not complimentary but was an add-on, which is not bad. I highly recommend this place to spend a few nights in the beautiful city of Castlegar. Would visit here again. I stay here often when traveling for business and always enjoy the friendly welcome and comfortable stay. Breakfast could use some enhancing but there are a number of places to eat within easy walking distance. The hotel team has advised they have some renovations coming in the near future to look forward to. One of the great things about this hotel, beside the staff, is great water pressure that makes for an awesome shower!

Room is what you'd expect, decent sleep, quiet location, cool looking pool area. I thought breakfast was included, but it wasn't. Ended up paying 7$ each for us to go in to a less than average breakfast buffet. They had, coffee/tea (served in the lobby for free), juice, bread/Bagels, apples and bananas and some Oatmeal. I certainly wasn't expecting a lavish breakfast, but eggs, bacon and a slice of toast would have been great. Night guy seemed unimpressed while the day time employee was pleasant.

Really nice people work there. Rooms are good and well stocked with essentials. Good location too. Bed is firm and the pillows large. I prefer a more flat pillow so will try to remember to bro g my own.

First time staying in the Sandman hotel in Castlegar BC...it's located at very accessible area. Very clean, quite and lots of amenities. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. Especially like the idea of the love seat to relax and unwind. An altogether pleasent stay.

Stayed here and was put into a room right in front of the back door, they had CP rail guys there and they started their trucks EARLY! 6am plus there were people coming in and out of the door all night literally. The bed seemed on an angle and the room was super outdated we got absolutely no sleep. The pool was ok but packed with kids from am-pm it's fine tho because I brought my kids for the pool too. When I checked out I was brushed off and made to feel like I complain too much so kinda annoying. Just ask for a room away from any main doors.

Very happy with the hotel for the age of the facility. The AC unit would not blow cold air which made sleeping too warm for us. Checking in was fabulous but when we had an issue with the room key not working we were almost scolded for having the issue like it was our fault. Over all is a great hotel for the price.
