H&R Block

Recently setup an appointment here with Nadereh to file my tax return. I'm impressed with the professionalism and quality of service here. During my appointment she was always very friendly and able to get everything I needed done. When I have questions, they are always answered. Especially for someone who is not from Canada. I can definitely recommend. Thanks again!

Useful software to file a tax return, very user friendly. Customer service for tax queries is terrible though, was so confused I added the expert help to my package but then never used it. Didn't allow me to remove from my service despite availing of none of its features so basically got charged $50 extra for nothing. Will use a different service in the future

Went here for years… my paperwork is simple. I just remembered the horrible service I received last year. The woman I had to start with was clueless, she even stapled the wrong information from another clients personal paperwork on top of mine.She gave me the name Katie and no one knew a Katie… when I called and came back to discuss my experience-probably seasonal staff… but she left me confused and chose not to be available to explain my paperwork. I had to go back and get my file reviewed because I felt as though she may have messed up my simple file. After I got looked after the second time I knew I would never come back to this location. I will never complete paperwork and pay for someone that appears aloof on her job… it was horribly unprofessional and disappointing.I made an appointment with a new location with better ratings. Be careful who you hire seasonally. Learned lesson.

Went there and the person made bunch of mistakes. she went to recheck things and did it in a rush and found more mistakes, I then went to ask her to double check it again as my tax return amount had changed 3 times in a matter of minutes. she refused to re check again , I asked her to tell me the amount again, I wrote it down and said I would like to double check with another accountant and if she can show me more numbers to write down. she got angry with me and refused to show me. I managed to write down the final return amount. I then went to to another place and my return was 40 percent bigger. Don't trust these people. Her manager came in and got really aggressive and interrupted me as I asked why she wouldn't tell me more information. She told me to leave in a very rude way. These people almost robbed me of more money that I worked hard for because of there lack lustre effort and attitudes. Avoid this place like the plague.

Tax return to Revenue Canada was done in less than 30 minutes for which i was charged more than $300. Since this was my first and most likely last visit to H&R Block I was surprised that their rates are higher than lawyers rates. It worth learning how to use Turbo Tax. I paid my lesson.Btw guys how much you charge for 30 minutes of accounting"? As I was able to see all info was in the computer and your employee has just to add few thousands of dollars on top and expenses for the cell phone and cable. That was all together less than 15 minutes of work? Maybe you could inform new customers about hourly rate or costs per tax return? How you justify $300 per 15 minutes? I wasn't even offered with glass of water or cup of coffee?"

I just wanted to share my experience with H&R Block and express how grateful I am for Nadereh's help. Not only she is an extremely knowledgeable expert in her field, but she has this personal touch to the way she handles her clients. When I come to her office, I feel like we are all family, and she is genuinely trying to help and answer any questions I have. Nadereh's been my tax expert for more than three years now, and I would strongly recommend her services to anyone. Thank you.

Scam arist, they sell your information. Do not do business here. Also they are incompetent.

After completing my tax return at H&R Block, I went home only to realize that I had a discount code from Questrade in my email inbox. I immediately called the branch and was told that if I came back, they would be able to cancel my payment and apply the discount. Despite the inconvenience of driving all the way back to the branch, I decided to do so, hoping to get the discount applied.However, when I arrived at the branch, I was informed that they could not help me and the discount could not be applied. I was shocked and frustrated as I had followed their instructions and made the effort to return to their office, only to be turned away empty-handed.As a customer, I expect better customer service and assistance from a well-known tax preparation company like H&R Block. It was disappointing to experience such incompetence and lack of willingness to resolve the issue. As a result, I will not be using H&R Block's services next year, and I cannot recommend them to anyone else.In conclusion, my recent experience with H&R Block has left me unsatisfied and disappointed. The lack of assistance, communication, and failure to apply a discount that I was entitled to has resulted in me deciding to not use their services in the future and not recommending them to others. I expected better service from a reputable company like H&R Block, and this experience has left me with a negative impression.

I’m honestly extremely confused as to how Nadereh has such glowing reviews on here, it is very misleading. I tried to see her last year and she turned me away telling me she couldn’t help me, even though I had an appointment made stating what I needed and was told she was the “expert”. Not only that, but she was very rude, dismissive and generally made me feel unwelcome. I thought this was an off day for her but a friend of mine saw her this year and had a similar experience. She did her taxes but refused to explain anything and told her to stop asking so many questions. My friend was so worried afterwards that something might have been incorrect - the whole point of getting taxes done by a professional is to avoid feeling this way.Why pay someone for a service if you’ll end up being treated so horribly? Be warned against these 5 star reviews, it seems like she picks who she wants to show empathy to, which is worrying.The 1 star is for Judy, who was incredible in helping me and let me ask any questions about my taxes - I highly recommend her.

Totally incompetent. Our meeting lasted about 10 minutes before my fiance and I just left. First she wrote the wrong year on file, and was unable to comprehend anything my fiance and I were trying to ask or explain to her. I'd rather do them myself before I trust these guys to do my taxes.
