I have someone in there for almost 6 months you can not get any information no phone calls back nothing. Even relatives! There is absolutely no change ! They just have her on just as heavy drugs as she was on . This place is terrible if anyone knows the phone number to the person that runs the place please let me know! This is awful! And they put them in housing like this!

Wow! The first place that had both Medical Doctors and Psychiatrists diagnosing me at the same time! I can now live and sleep without NIGHTMARES! Just that made me happy but the continued therapy over 6 and then 9 months! There is no other rehab center I could have gotten my mind right other than BCMHA! If I ever have to I will go back!

Our son has been here for two months and has been very fortunate to have an incredible mental health team. The staff are incredibly helpful and both he and us parents have nothing but great things to say about this place. He's seeing incredible progress with his condition and he is grateful for the opportunity o be here.

Some of the staff members are quite rude to extended family members who come to visit.Other times the facility has been incompetent with regards to having meds ready at the said time of pick up of a loved one, they have a whole week to get meds ready for a client to go out on a weekend pass. No regard for the time, energy and money it takes to schedule this event. In regards to tx it's good. Staff need some more organizational and communication skills. They are not only there for the client but also the family members in regards to effective communication skills.

I absolutely have zero regard for health institutions that have no compassion for the very people who need their service and this place is one. I talked to the intake person about my friend's recent paranoid delusion. The intake person asked if I knew if my friend was using any drugs and when I told her that he maybe using marijuana for medical reasons, this is what she said: He may be one of those unfortunate cases that develop irreversible psychosis/ schizophrenia after smoking marijuana (giggles)" . I WAS APPALLED BY THIS PERSON'S BEHAVIOUR. She had no compassion for this sick person (my friend) and carried on to babbling about something that she had no clue about. I asked if she was a clinician and she said she was an intake person. SOMEONE WHO HAS NO MEDICAL TRAINING tells that my friend maybe have irreversible psychosis or schizophrenia? Are you kidding me? I'm filing a formal complaint through the BC Health Ministry and I hope this person will be one day in my shoes."

My best friend really needed help for mental health related reasons but it seemed apparent that we can't find her safe places in burnaby. Disappointed

Advertises itself as a rehabilitation centre but is actually an oversize psychiatric care facility. Equipped to manage chronic addiction issues, they are not as good at managing the transition back into society. Good place to get some clean time under your belt though. Closing soon and transitioning to a new facility in Coquitlam on the old Riverview grounds

Worst treatment center I've ever been to. Staff doesn't care about clients. Have little to no rights. It's boring with nothing to do. Your in lockdown in the beginning all the way until the staff thinks your fit" enough for general population. It feels like a psych ward. The food is terrible. Terrible location. The only positive thing is there's staff that cleans

My ex-boyfriend is currently attending this treatment program. He came in with a severe leg/foot injury with an air cast on and a push scooter. He says he has constant pain and doesn't sleep well, has trouble focusing, and feels like relapsing to lessen the pain. Staff and health authorities won't do a thing for him. I offered to call them on his behalf to see what's going on. The man I talked to was rude, told me he was fine, and said he couldn't be on the phone too long and had to go. He didn't care one bit about him. I am angry. How do they expect him to recover this way? So he continues to suffer and is staying clean on his own will. He is not getting his needs met and they call themselves a treatment center. I don't know what to do to help now. But he needs somthing or he won't make it.

Most of the staff are rude and unpleasant and difficult to work with for basic things we normally take for granted like food and sleep. Soap and toothpaste are not a human right? You can earn" these "rights" back with an actual lottery system that dishes out dollar store items in exchange for attending "classes" put on by some of the finest experts you will ever meet in the world. Expect to be treated and punished like prisoners in prison are treated and punished. Why? Because I was told "people would never want to leave here if we were nice to them"."
