Abalon Foundation Repairs

I had foundation work done by Abalon recently and was very pleased with the quality and speed of the work done. The two men who did the job were very hard workers and completed the work more quickly than I expected. The area was left perfectly clean when they were done and the road where some of the soil was piled up was also cleaned up. I would recommend Abalon if you need work done.

Amazing crew completed a repair today for us - probably the best I have ever dealt with. High quality work completed by hard working people. They are not only professional but exceptionally courteous and pleasant too. I heartily recommend them.

Brent and his team were exceptional to work with. Provided lots of good advice to help us straighten the beams in our 100 year old home. The job was completed in a timely fashion and Brent and his crew were extremely friendly and courteous while work was going on in our home. Fantastic!! The best contractors that have ever worked on our home. They had our site dug in no time at all, and there was no mess left behind. The workers were the most pleasant bunch of people we have ever met, always smiling, respectful, and communicated very well with us. They left some filter cloth for us because we were going to redo the patio, and also offered to drop off extra stone if we wanted at no charge.Our estimator Emery was fantastic through the whole situation. Our house had many issues that Emery discovered and advised on the proper way correct the issues to avoid future issues.I personally called him many times, and I was never given an attitude or felt like I was bothering him. He answered every question and helped us every single time, even after hours, and he came by on weekends. And many times he didn't have to, but he did anyways. He came by just recently after a few weeks , just to make sure everything was well with the construction. Very pleased with Brent Emery and the whole crew. They gave me an accurate quote in the fall and a commitment to make my foundation repair a priority come spring 2020. They started on time despite some impacts from the pandemic. After exposing the foundation wall in the problem area it became clear more work was needed. They gave me options and a solid recommendation that struck a balance of overall cost with optimal risk mitigation. The work they did inside and out of the basement was high quality and they managed to keep the site very clean despite some rain. The communication was clear and they were on time as promised. All things considered i am very satisfied with the work of Brent, Ritchie and the rest of the crew and i have every confidence they will stand behind their work. When I could not be there in person they kept me informed with progress updates and pictures for my records. I would certainly recommend them to friends and family.

The good- They have a hard working crew and were polite- They are on schedule- The supervisor (Brent) is very responsiveThe concerns and issuesI had Abalon do foundation work of the exterior of my home, which I wish I was home so I could observe the work being done.I also had them install weeping tiles in my basement and water proof it. For that work, I was home the entire time and I'm glad I was.I would check up on my basement when the crew left and I had some concerns but it got resolved quickly so I was happy with that.My other concern was the invoicing.I know they didn't perform a certain tasks as per the general work outline when they worked on the exterior and yet they invoiced me the full amount. So I questioned the invoice I was given and which then my invoice was corrected.The last day they were here June 7th, they left my side looking like this.I called and emailed them to come back, and I am still waiting for them to get this fixed.I'll have to call them again.Would I use Abalon again? On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being yes. I'd give it a 1.5.

Abalon recently completed doing some foundation repair for me. Had a rental property where foundation was starting to give way. Didn't want it restored (too old) just reinforced to prevent the situation from worsening. I contacted 8 contractors, only 2 consistently replied... (sigh). Got 2 quotes, very impressed as they were about $600 apart. Went with Abalon and very glad I did. They were prompt, were there when they said they would be, Brent sent me photo's to show work being done and gave regular updates. When done the gate was a little askew, I asked Brent if he could fix that and maybe put down a little more topsoil. That same day those items were attended to. I am not in the industry so can't comment on the quality of the work (only time will tell, but I have confidence in it), but I can say that the professionalism and follow through were excellent. They will be back in spring once the soil settles to do a top up. Would recommend them to others.

Although there were some delays at the beginning, Brent and his team (Joe and others) more than made up for it by doing an excellent job with our front and back porch piles. Communication was great and very prompt. The guys addressed issues that came up (even though the issues were not their fault) and were more than fair with their pricing. They also went above and beyond cleaning up after the job. I would do business again with them in the future. Highly recommended.

Our foundation had a 4 inch crack along the length of the entire wall. Abalon came to perform the repairs which I imagined would be a nightmare. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished result. The crew was dependable, hard working and reliable. The supervisor, Brent, was extremely accommodating and responsive. The City of Wpg. Inspector was so impressed with the quality of the work and stated he should take a picture as this was the way the job should be done....passed them with flying colours! My heartfelt thanks go out to the crew and Brent for making me feel I was in capable hands. I appreciate all the extra efforts made to my inquiries and requests. Please hire this company, you won't be sorry.

I was very pleased with the work that Brent and his crew did on my house. It was a big job fixing my very leaky basement floors and disintegrating concrete. They were extremely quick, very clean and always answered any questions that I had, anytime I had them. And, I'm happy to say, that after the giant storm and all the melting, my basement is dry. I would certainly recommend Brent and his crew.
