H&R Block

The service was fine but I was absolutely shocked when I got to know they were charging me $200 to file the simple personal income taxes for me and specially when they charged more than $100 for my wife who recently landed in Canada and didn't even have any income. Seriously, this much money to just enter the simple details is frustrating.When I used the online software(Turbotax) to see how much my tax return would be and it was same. The software would have cost me $40-50 to file.I used to work with a Personal Income tax filer and he used to charge me $35 to file the taxes, hence, lessons learned on where to file the taxes going forward.Though I don't want to say bad things about H&R as their service was fine but I really hope they charge their customers reasonably.

Did my return here 5 days ago and signed. CRA has not received any efile when I called hr block they said efile would have been submitted already. Cra showing nothing received and no uploading pending. Will never return

Service well par, because anyone can punch the numbers in to the computer.. this will be the last time I use H&R ever again for you fees to jump up over 200 from last year..and wasn't told about the price..I felt rushed and to be honest below par service..500 bucks to do my doordash taxes..There is no difference people!!...between doing turbo tax or one of the others online services..but this is highway robbery. Lesson learned never again ..won't fall into that trap again..

Nicole at this location has been fantastic. She really knows her stuff and was very helpful in ensuring we got back every dollar owned. She was through and took her time to make sure my families taxes were done and on time. Worth the money to have it done right.

They processed my returns on a card telling me there are no fees on it. And after I received the card, I realized there are monthly fees and withdrawal fees associated with my card. I am deeply dissatisfied by this branch.

Poor service. Don't deserve one star too. The person I filed taxes with did not ask me for my worldwide income before coming to Canada due to which I missed out on first payment of climate action incentive. I got notices in my online account from CRA asking me to submit this information. So I called around 4 to 5 different branches of H&R block (since I couldn't reach this branch on phone) and they all told me that I am not eligible for Climate action incentive payment in 2022 since I wasn't in Canada in Jan 2021 and to ignore CRA notices. On person even said that I am not a PR holder so no eligible. Despite this I went ahead with giving information to CRA and so I am getting first payment in Aug 2022. They are not aware of basic tax situations. Not sure what I am paying them money for if I am supposed to do the job and they give false information. Not going with them next year for sure.

My tax preparer, Nicole was fantastic! She was easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, and interested in helping you . I highly recommend her. I'm glad to have met her. Thank-you Nicole!Also, the young lady at the front desk is very friendly and the overall office vibe is great!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolute WORST experience/service I’ve ever received. Never in my life have I had to deal with this many issues regarding a tax return cheque. I have been to 6 different places to cash the tax return cheque that they provided me and it keeps getting flagged as counterfeit. NOBODY is helping me, they said they would call and haven’t. Taking time off work to drive around and deal with this is ridiculous. DO NOT TRUST HR BLOCK !!UPDATE: After finally having my bank deposit the money HRBLOCK revoked my tax return cheque with no explanation. Nobody has yet to contact me explaining what has happened, my bank has called this location countless times and they also keep getting voicemail.
