Top Dog Canine Training

We bought a GSD when she was 10 weeks old and wanted her to socialize early with different people and dogs. We found Jennifer on Google and thought it was a good idea since it the price was good for 6 weeks. My GSD has fear aggression and lacked confidence with other dogs (something we found out with another trainer). My puppy would try and lunge at other puppies in the class and bark excessively at Jennifer’s cocker spaniel. Jennifer kept telling us that our puppy needed help from her friend, and that she will MOST definitely be aggressive later on. Every class she makes us feel more stressed than the last. We long found another trainer that has helped her with everything she needed, she can even go on off leash walks with different dogs now(picture below). I think Jennifer is good for small pets but not dogs with high drive.

Jen completely transformed our dog basil. Basil was a really reactive dog after an incident at an dog park. After 2 private sessions and a group class basil is now able to loose leash walk and ignore other dogs and people.Jen is friendly and always gives clear and concise instructions that are easy to follow. She has an amazing ability to pin point exactly what your dog needs and how you need to act to help you reach your goals.

Jennifer was a great help from the very first call and meeting with our pup. I appreciate her honesty and confidence she tries to instill owners with, who have pushy and reactive dogs like ours. We had a one on one with her first, then a basic obedience class and started him on rally obedience (which he loved!). You will see results with her training, I would highly recommend her for dog training. She obviously likes what she does .Thank you Jennifer! We will see you again.

Jennifer is a superb dog trainer, experienced and knowledgeable. We started our German Shepherd puppy which is both hyperactive and bitey with Jennifer at 8 weeks old and trained with Jennifer until she was 20 months old. We went through all of Jennifer's wonderful classes: puppy kindergarten, basic obedience, intermediate obedience, canine good neighbour, Fusion, dog tricks, Out and About Classes (walks all around town) and many pack walks.Now at 2 years old, in a crowded family function, she is well behaved, interacting well and with affection towards adults and children she has never met before. She wowed the guests with her obedience skills and dog tricks demo and best of all, did not bother the food table. She even rolled over for a ten year old child she has not met before to give her a tummy rub.Thanks Jen for training our GSD into such a good dog. We are fortunate to have you as a trainer.

Great puppy class!We have had other dogs but the first time taking a class. I can’t believe how much we’ve learned! Our puppy Indy is pretty shy and Jen’s puppy class just brought him out of his shell.We really looked forward to them every week!It’s obvious that Jen really cares about each pup and really wants them to succeed. She gave so much individual attention to everyone. You can email her with questions and she is so helpful! The class wasn’t intimidating at all just a lot of fun for us and our pup. It was really easy to continue with the training during the week because of the class notes that were emailed to us. Highly recommend Jen, her style is laid back and the classes are fun!

Jen is amazing!! I took her basic obedience course and it helped me and my puppy so much. Our relationship and her respect for me has strengthened tremendously.Jen is super knowledgeable and I could tell from the very first class that her methods work. I wish I had found her sooner! I’m looking forward to taking more classes with her and I would highly recommend her courses for all dogs and owners.

My new puppy was a feisty one and I had so much to teach her and correct her behavior.I had a dog before but I forgot to train the dogs.Jennifer was so helpful and knowledgeable for training the dogs.Even after class she always encouraged me and told me what to do to train properly.The classes were fun for my puppy and I noticed her behavior was slowly changed.She was no longer troubled by bad behavior and we enjoyed each other's company.I took three courses so far as I enjoyed them and am happy with my puppy's progress.I hope other dog owners will do the same.

We've had an amazing experience with Jennifer at Top Dog Canine. We started our little cockapoo puppy in Puppy Kindergarten at 11 weeks old and he is now 6 months and taking his 3rd course because our puppy loves her and she does an amazing job. She is super knowledgeable. You can see her experience with dogs the moment she handles a dog that an owner is having difficulty with. Dogs automatically respond to her. Jen's techniques and teaching style are so useful, consistent and fun. I also like that the classes are outdoors.Even outside of class, Jen is very responsive anytime we have a question whether by email, phone or text. She's helped us so much with advice on being a first-time puppy parent from nutrition, grooming, vaccines, food, toys, equipment, etc. She even trimmed his nails to teach us, and I contacted her for advice the first time my pup was not feeling well. She is super knowledgeable. I highly recommend Top Dog Canine Training to anyone with a dog and we plan to take more classes. Our pup Lucy has been in a beginner’s class with Jen since she was 4 months old. The structure we have been able to give her through what we have learned together has already began to set her up with the foundation necessary for us to provide her with a happier and more fulfilling life!
