Makita Factory Service Center

Sent my JR3070 in for repair (process handled by my building supply store). It took months for them to diagnose the problem, and months more to send my tool back unrepaired as the cost was too high. I would have done the repair myself at this point, but the blade retention assembly was completely missing, and the insulating cover was torn up. Both these parts would have added an extra $100+ to my repair cost. Frankly I was shocked to see my equipment handled so poorly. The only reason this is not a one star review is my business runs almost exclusively Makita tools, and this is the first instance of such poor service. Hopefully this doesn't reflect other people's experiences.

Came in 12:45 pm and it's closed. Friday

Fixed my leaf blower (eventually), hence the two stars. Zero stars for customer service and communication.

Awful customer service. Day 1 - show up, drop off 2 tools, ask for a quote for one, the second is under warranty still. Get told they'll call once they get the info.Day 15 I call back and they say oh it's not going to be worthwhile

I've left work a bit early a few times only to drive across town and find that they had also left work a bit early... like a solid half hour. Recommend calling first! Just because the answering machine gives you the hours doesn't mean that anyone is actually there!

Very busy shop for repairs. Had an issue with the way they would handle their workload and the way they communicate about it. I addressed the situation and got resolved in a very timely manner with great customer service

Can’t say anything on their tool service because their customer service was a 0. I called ahead of time to let them know that the earliest I could be there from my job site was 5 minutes after their closing time, that I would just quickly drop the tools off and deal with it Monday. They wouldn’t budge at all, yet there I was at the front door at 4:35 to an empty shop. How is a tradesman supposed to get repairs when the hours and staff aren’t accommodating at all??? Really pisses me off when someone gives 100% effort and it isn’t reciprocated.

Went there twice for two different reasons. Did not get the help i was expecting was left feeling like I wont go back for a third.******************Updated ****************I returned a couple years later for my third visit .I was looking to replace my chuck on my 18V drill,After so many years in the end i got the experience i was hoping for. They helped me find the replacement parts required and there advice to fix this myself was Much appreciatied !!!!Im Happy i went back. helped me bring my drill back from the dead. so felt conpelled to update my original review.

The entire staff there are lovely and friendly and super helpful. No one wants to take their tools in to get fixed, but at least they always make it a pleasant experience.

I have terrible experience with them.They are not compedent at all. Can't do the job on time, lost my tool once and couldn't repair the other one.After long wait they asked $300 and said they can not warranty it may not work.Also they have bad attitude.
