Got a pair of glasses. Has good quality selection and service. Worked with a gentleman by the name of Perry and he was very helpful and honest. Recommend for anyone that is looking for quality glasses.

Been looking around for a good pair of glasses and sunglasses for some time. Thankfully some friends introduced me to Gokana. They carry some Japanese brands of glasses which I could not find in any other store. Picked up both glasses and sunglasses from Perry who was great throughout the entire process. Will definitely come back for my next pair! Highly Recommend.

Great store with very friendly staff! They have a large selection of frames and lens options to choose from. I was able to special order a different colour frame than the display. Recommend!

Gokana Optical is a fairly new shop owned and operated by father and son (Edward and Perry)! The store is located in the same plaza as Service Ontario so parking spaces were limited!My first impression: It was very well lit. Products are organized by brand as opposed to gender. At first glance, I noticed frames that are classic, modern, playful, and stylish. Since there were so many frames, I was overwhelmed. Perry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.Customer Service: Upon entry, we were welcomed into the store and invited to browse. Perry unlocked the display cases so I could freely try frames on and even introduced brands such as Kio Yamato and Eyevan 7285.Sales: My husband and I purchased a pair of Kio Yamato and Oliver Peoples. At no point in time did Perry pressure us into our purchase. We were free to choose the brand of lens (Nikon vs. Essilor) and he educated us about different coatings and suggested ones that would benefit us based on our lifestyle. Edward even adjusted the glasses I was wearing when I didn't purchase them from him!Overall: I am extremely happy with my purchase and so thrilled to have met Perry and Edward. There are plenty of optical shops in Markham but Gokana Optical's customer service definitely sets them apart. I would highly recommend them!**May I suggest having reserved customer parking spaces? --That would definitely help! Thank you Edward and Perry! Will be back again soon for my next pair of glasses!

This place offers a fantastic selection of frames, and has exceptional service by knowledgeable opticians. They were very patient with my indecisiveness because I loved more than 2 choices and had a hard time deciding. I finally made a choice with their advice and help, and I couldn't be happier.

Excellent service and great selection. The team really helped me pick out exactly what I needed and never pushed me to buy extra things. They do direct billing too, so that was super convenient.

Stopped in to see what options they had for shades. Wow! They have a great selection. Store was well lit and they separated all the glasses by brand. Tons of selection, I was in there for over an hour and walked out with three pairs!Theresa helped me and she was super helpful. I told her what I liked and she literally pulled everything off the shelf for me and was helping me take pictures. Not once did she pressure me, I truly loved the experience.I would highly recommend this place. Tons of parking and located conveniently off hwy 7 just west of Kennedy.

I had a great experience purchasing new glasses at Gokana Optical! My family and I came in looking to purchase both prescription glasses and sunglasses. There was a large selection of frames from many designer brands as well as more affordable options. The staff were extremely patient and helpful with picking out frames for my family. They were also very knowledgeable on the various types of lenses and options that we had.Upon receiving the glasses, the staff were very attentive and went out of their way to make sure that they fit well and were to our liking. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy a pair of glasses.

My husband and I entered into the store where neither the 2 staff members or the other customer were wearing masks. When one of them approached us, I actually had to tell her to put on a mask!She then proceeded to ask for our prescription. I thought she wanted to take a look, but she kept them with her. While we browsed, she asked if we have insurance coverage. That's so unprofessional. We jetted out as soon as she put the prescriptions down to serve another customer.
