EasyPark lot #106 South

Do not park here. We wanted to park in the first spot after a non-parkable spot, so we very slightly grazed the line dividing our spot and this other spot. We still got a $40 ticket, disputed it, and got denied. The parking lot was 95% empty so it’s not like we were deliberately blocking anyone’s way to choose a NON-PARKABLE SPOT. EasyPark staff are money-hungry and on their high horse. Giving a ticket for such a minor thing, WHEN THE LOT IS ALMOST 100% EMPTY, is abusing their power against people who choose to spend their money to park in this lot. You’re better off parking along the street for $1/hour only. (Eg in front of Buy Low) SHAME ON YOU EASYPARK! Not to mention this is not a good way to encourage shoppers in this area.

EasyPark is a terrible company. I paid for parking and I still got a fine. The ticketer showed me his iPad that clearly said my license plate did not paid fir for parking. He saw my EasyPark App was still running. We called his employer, EasyPark, on the spot and was tokd to appeal online. You either pay $19.98 immediately or $32 within 3 days. $80 in 10 days and $105 after that. I paid for my parking so I appealed and their appeal process takes 15 days! So my App was running, my credit card charged, received email receipt that I paid but I still have an outstanding parking fine. This is not a mistake or a glitch in the system as others have had the same problem and I have never had problems with other parking companies in Vancouver. So the only conclusion that is logical is that EasyPark is out to make money with false parking fines! Save yourself the trouble. Do not park on EasyPark's lot!!
