A peaceful and welcoming place, volunteers are all very friendly and helpful! Nice place with a lot of nice people, it’s always good to stop by here on Saturday afternoons to enjoy some free vegetarian dishes, there’s also childcare on site!

Amazing Place!!! Really nice people, free vegetarian buffet every Saturday.

An amazing place where you find the peace in your mind. They welcome everyone who wish to worship and offer homage to the Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Quite a few regular programs are running at the centre to promote Chinese culture and propagate Buddhist virtues of loving-kindness and compassion. Free (and amazingly good) vegetarian meals in buffet-style every Saturdays and Dharma books (Sutras, Buddhist stories, Words of Wisdoms, etc.) for free all the time. Highly recommended!

The cultural centre is run mostly by volunteers. The people there are very welcoming and extremely friendly, and it's the same whether you are new or returning. They provide a space where you don't feel afraid to ask questions. They host programs for all age groups including a children's program on Saturday with volunteer teachers. They host many events with fun games and discussions. The volunteers work hard to provide everyone a free vegetarian meal at all of these events. The interior is also very well maintained: it's very clean and hosts a very relaxing atmosphere. ~ 10/10 would recommend

很难找到一个像观音堂一样的地方，清净安详。大人可以在喧闹和紧张的工作之余放松，学习生活的哲理和佛理佛法，小孩子们有儿童班既可以学中文还有手工，游戏和其他活动。活动结束后还有免费的自助餐形式的素食晚餐，丰富的吃不下完。而且吃素的花样也很多颠覆了传统的吃素就是豆腐白菜。观音堂真的是一个一家老小周末共度美好时光的好地方。最重要的是这里的一切都是免费的，而且义工和佛友都很慈悲，热情 真诚。他们有3个活动地点唐人街和密西沙家活动在周日，观音堂在世家堡活动在周六，真的很值得去看看，真的会改变你的生活，让你越来越好。我去了5年了，开心的时间总是过得很快。这里能让远在异国他乡的你找到家的感觉很温暖，感恩观世音菩萨慈悲。

Peaceful place.

A really great place to learn about and practice Buddhism. The atmosphere inside the temple is very calming, bright, and welcoming. The volunteers there always greet you in a friendly manner and helpfully answer any questions or concerns you may have, so if you're a Buddhist practitioner or if you're looking for a quiet place to recite Buddhist scriptures, this would be the place. They also have a vegetarian meal service full of delicious vegetarian dishes every Saturday following a Buddhist theory study session.What's really great is their vegetarian cooking class that's offered on a bi-weekly basis on Thursdays. The dishes that are taught range anywhere from traditional Chinese cuisine to Western dishes like pasta, to desserts. I have learned quite a few vegetarian recipes (as well as tips on how to prepare certain vegetables) that can be used for everyday meals. Definitely would recommend for any vegetarians or vegetarian-enthusiasts!

Ok place. Mostly Mandarin speakers, limited amount of Cantonese speakers. Not an accessible location for elders (have to climb up stairs to pray). The entrance is also always locked, so there is a need to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to come open the door.
