My husband and I own a small private campground on Prince Edward Island, Cymbria Campground and RV Park. We connected with Kristi in January 2021 as a mentor, for the purpose of helping us navigate this crazy Covid situation and for a fresh perspective on options for improving our bottom line.Kristi has been amazing! She was an excellent fit for us in that she had extensive experience in hospitality and tourism, a great business sense and a wonderful sense of humour that made the whole experience fun. We felt our needs were heard - sometime you need an outside perspective, someone to help you think outside the box. She offered solid advice, technical support for me (I am lacking in computer and social media skills) and a number of suggestions that we will definitely be implementing this coming season. These suggestions were both fun and practical and will certainly help us to manage our time better, reduce unnecessary labour costs and provide opportunities to spend more time with our campers - a goal we have each year yet somehow miss due to an overwhelming (in some cases unnecessary) work load.I would recommend Kristi's services to anyone looking to grow and improve their business. I was selected by Nova Scotia Community College to participate as a Mentee in a Startup Mentor Pilot Program with BoomersPlus. I was fortunate to have Kristi Wenaus as my mentor. She is personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. The sessions with Kristi were very engaging. I learned how to prioritise work by creating a workflow, scheduling tasks, and marketing to keep my business running smoothly. Kristi taught me that having everything taken care of on the back end would allow me to focus on my clients’ needs and photography. She also encouraged me to set goals for myself which were realistic and attainable, and how to reach those goals. Oh gosh where to start? I have been fortunate enough to be a 'student' of Kristi's since November (maybe December?) of 2020. In the past 6 months I have learned more about sales training, prospecting, goal setting, and organizing than I have learned in my nearly 10 years of working in the hospitality industry. I'm not done yet but in that short amount of time I've seen vast improvements in MYSELF.Kristi has this really fun way about her that makes her teaching enjoyable. At the end of the day you will learn so much. You want to know everything right away and jump into different parts of her curriculum but I've learned to be patient and it's paid off. It's all about repetition and creating those good habits.As long as YOU have the right attitude you will surely enjoy being in the presence of this amazing human being. She's understanding and a good communicator. I'm looking forward to continue my studies with her and hope that we will remain friends when the time comes that I will no longer be training with her.I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone who is interested in changing themselves for the better. What's that saying? What's good for the goose is good for the gander? Totally true. I've grown so much and in turn it has helped the business. If you're thinking about hiring her, do it. I promise you will not have any regrets. You can tell that she is passionate about what she does as it comes through in her work. She is a rare gem.

Kristi was one of the two mentors that was referred to us by a free program offered by CBDC a regional lending institution. I chose Kristi because of her experience, knowledge and familiarity in the hospitality industry. within the Atlantic market. The mentor program was short and provided a great insight with respect to effective sales organization, strategy and selling techniques.I was very impressed with the progress made during the mentor program and found it beneficial to continue the process after the program ended. And so I contracted her services for a full year starting January 2021. In the months following, my Sales Manager has made tremendous progress by gaining new business and also shifting business from my competitors to Danny's. With success in sight, I contracted Kristi to conduct training for my Front Desk Staff, build a new website and guide us in our marketing efforts.During contract negotiations, Kristi was very understanding and reasonable and worked within my budget for which I am very grateful. From the onset, she took a role of leadership to ensure results were forthcoming and also communicated them and other issues on a timely basis.
