Shades of Grey Tattoo

Awesome atmosphere & artists! I went in for a simple script tattoo and booked another session for a back piece. I’m a pretty picky person and Chris was able to instantly identify with what I wanted and the ideas that I had. The 2 tattoos that I got from him were my first ever and meant a lot and he did an amazing job. He made me feel comfortable and made sure I was aware of everything along the way. Would recommend this shop and all their artists.

My friend and I came here after doing some research looking to get our first tattoos. We both really liked Jodie's style and brought our concepts to her in a consultation after just walking in one day to see if we could set one up. She was extremely open to our ideas, asked questions about what kind of things we liked, and discussed placement. She also gave her input on things she thought could make it even better. We never felt judged or like she wasn't interested in helping us get something cool.The deposit was fair and the actual design she did for each of us really reflected the care and talent she puts into her work. She also showed a lot of integrity when a delay came up in my design and she called to let me know that she didn't want to rush it and asked if we could postpone by a couple of days. The final art for both of us was more than we could have hoped for!The actual sessions were friendly, comfortable, and quick! Jodie has a steady hand and her lines are confident and her shading smooth. A number of people have complimented my large chest piece and how bold and clean the lines are! My friend's piece is readable and beautiful. I can't wait to get the shading finished on my chest piece in May!Overall, a great shop and a top-notch experience! Everyone was friendly, funny, professional, and the shop is kept clean even as they are in the process of moving spaces. I would definitely recommend coming here for any work you're looking to get done.

The crew here are fantastic. I got my tattoo while shades of grey were traveling to comic expos and needed a touch up.Chris does wonderful work and works with you to help get the piece you want. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone looking for some ink.The shop has a very good selection on comics old and new as well as some great collectors toys.

I had an awesome experience with my artist Mac Plant. He was great to work with, especially for bouncing ideas back and forth. It was my first tattoo, and on top of that I'm super picky, so it was a relief to have back and forth with someone as patient as Mac is. Couldn't be happier with the end result and would ABSOLUTELY recommend Mac for anyone looking at getting a tattoo. I will be going back to Mac for future tattoos... Thanks again Mac!

Such an amazing place! My friend and I came in as walk ins just wanting to choose a flash drawing and they were awesome! All of them were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the very beginning! Joel did my tattoo and he rocked! Will definitely be coming back for another.

Jose was welcoming and didn’t make me feel bad while consulting the design. A lot of back and forth but he never showed any annoyance and suggested great things. I’m very happy with his work.

I've had two tattoos done by Chris in the last month. One was script and the other was a cover up. Both turned out excellent and I've received many compliments. Chris is professional and highly skilled at his craft. The shop itself is very clean and there's a great vibe about it. I would highly highly recommend both Chris and Shades of Grey!

I can't say enough great things about Chris and the entire staff at Shades of Grey. They are all very friendly and welcoming. The shop has a great relaxed vibe.I contacted Chris with a rough concept of what I was thinking of and he instantly dove into it. We talked a bit about what I was thinking of and he turned my scattered ideas into an amazing custom piece. He really developed it a lot further than I could have imagined. Chris is an exceptional artist; his work is clean and beautiful.Chris was extremely professional and kind throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable. It's easy to see he takes great pride in his craft.

Jodie has done four pieces on me now, and I intend to continue to see her to fill up all of the empty spaces! Each are nothing short of incredible. I could not recommend her enough, not only for her incredible talent and attention to detail but the way she treats clients and others in the shop is like sunshine! It can be tricky to find a tattoo shop that has everything you’d ever want. Comfort, welcomed, knowledgeable, safety and wildly talented artists. This is the one! You will spend your appointment laughing, or quiet if you so choose. They check in with you, see how you’re doing. Make sure you’re comfortable. I truly adore this shop, Jodie, and everyone I’ve interacted in there. Who sees a dude smile having his calf tattooed? Well you might if you go here and I’m pretty sure it’s not because it didn’t hurt, it’s because everyone is funny.I also really love the way they compliment one another and pop over to admire their work.
