It was a little confusing at first (tired from getting off from midnight shift and waiting for them to open) but eventually got the right staff... everyone was super helpful and courteous

I have had the wonderful honour and opportunity to serve our community as a member of the City of Oshawa's, C.D.E.I.C., Community Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, essentially as a traditionally educated Indigenous man, advocate, consultant or representative.Over the 2+ years I have been serving, voluntarily, on this Committee I have seen some of recommendations come to fruition. It was a proud moment, indeed, when Indigenous public visibility became a reality for Indigenous History Month with the signatory flying of the Medicine Wheel Flag, a generally ubiquitously accepted symbol for all Indigenous Peoples.I am a Mohawk and the Medicine Wheel doesn't even appear in our traditional teachings, however, you can find that symbol painted 'here', or, in a window 'over there'..I've seen the raising of the Every Child Matters Flag with a permanent garden on King West and McMillan Streets, dedicated to the same and shall be every year, hereafter. These and other public visibilities create and develop the grounds upon which, now visibly Included, can now, join the conversation of equity, further social inclusion, address to all systemically embedded racial barriers. We must take the time to learn about one another..our cultural and linguistic differences, as well as so many things that really do make human beings equals in every sense. These kinds of values are up to each of us to render and create..We are the custodians of an advanced civil society..Remember;No one needs a smile more than one whom has none left to give..Let's Love Each Other and Stay Safe!

I've there for some query for my property tax and payment, met a gentleman at the counter. He was very helpful and treated me with smile and not only explained the tax detail but also helped me in giving the interim document. Most of the government departments does not have staff like him, I thank and wish him all the best for his career.

Not happy about finding needles at Brick by Brick Park.. again today. Our youth are at risk and its scary to walk in that park area and under the John street Bridge especially. Why is security not looking after this?

The original city hall building and council chambers were beautiful. John Gray let his ego get to him when he was mayor and he felt entitled to this ugly new building. This building is just one of the many scars Gray left on the city during his time as mayor. I hope an entirely new council is elected in October. Oshawa can't afford another 4 years of the current council. Attached is a picture of our beautiful original city hall.

I was there on different business. I am with the Oshawa Garden Club & we & the Durham Master Gardeners are there in a project called Giving Gardens. We have planted vegetables in 11 beds normally filled with flowers by the city. We go to weed & check on our plants weekly. We will harvest as the summer goes on & take our produce to Feed the Need who share it with different kitchens & organizations throughout the city. Last year we harvested hundreds of pounds of vegetables. Right now roughly 1hr a week / per person to check things out, tidy & weed. & in some cases replace what has been uprooted by squirrels or other animals. Worthwhile cause.

Giving fines for feeding the homeless. You should be ashamed of yourself. Be prepared to be amazed, well you did that you amazed me at your inhumanity .
