As someone that loves Caribbean food and eats is regularly this is on the bad end of the scale. The jerk chicken" breast in the meal is a flavourless dry SMALL amount of chicken with some utterly bland rice. The gravy isn't great either. The price isn't terrible but for the portion size to be really quite small compared to similar places in Toronto AND for the food to be really bland is just disappointing. I work near the place so hoped it would be a regular spot but not given my first experience. Spending $20 for a small bland lunch that leaves me hungry

I got TooGoodtoGo from this place so this isn’t a review about their regular operations. The food was plentiful and delicious, server was nice and gave me a choice (even though not required given the premise of TooGoodtoGo). One problem is this place is a bit hard to find entrance to, and they have two restaurant within the same space.

AMAZING jerk chicken! After the first bite, I knew that this is not the last time I am ordering from Box Market Jamaican Food. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice (I had spicy"). The sides - Rice with peas

Check this restaurant out for the first time, friendly service. I found the price didn't match the value of the portion, I was expecting a bit more of a kick for the jerk sauce on the chicken. Basically fast food for some Caribbean flavor.

First time here- the food was delicious and obviously freshly made. I got the jerk chicken breast meal with oxtail gravy on the rice, and spicy. The breast was perfectly tender and the food was the right amount of hot.Only suggestion is to be more generous with the coleslaw portion! Otherwise it was great, and enough protein for two meals.

As a Jamaican eating it for the first time. I must say that it tastes ok. Better that a lot of the restaurants claiming to Cook Jamaican. The chicken was cooked completely. The rice was the issue. It was so tough not Shelly but tough. I had difficulty eating it. Only had it because I was hungry and still couldn't finish it

Food is exceptionally delicious, so far I’ve had the oxtail, jerk chicken and curry chicken. Food will have your taste buds singing. Great value for price, friendly service also. A must try!!

The jerk chicken taste good to the bone! Even the boneless meat for the Reggae Wrap & jerk chicken sandwich is seasoned well, with the right amount of spice. If need more just ask for pepper. The new scarborough location is a nice clean environment to sit and eat as well , with good music playing in the background to add to the vibes…long story short the food is tasty and they have officially won me over as a regular customer!

The young woman who served me was great. The restaurant is located beside or inside a mediterranean restaurant…so maybe not authentic Jamaican although I didn’t see any Jamaicans there. The food was meh…. It wasn’t horrible (definitely not authentic) but it wasn’t hot enough for me.If you’re looking for something close and quick try this place or the mediterranean place that’s also there.
