Harbourview Medical Center and Walk-in Clinic

On time for appointment and helfull staff. i had a visit with dr sandhu, she is an amazing doctor. Receptionists were polite and were very nice to patients.

The two doctors I’ve seen here have been quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would definitely recommend their care!Although, as a medical receptionist, I was disappointed by the demeanour and the lack of communication I received from the staff. I came in for a walk-in appointment, and was told they would call me when I could be seen. This seemed fair as they were busy. Reception never ended up calling me back, and when I phoned in to check in, the lady on the phone was quite rude. She misunderstood that I came in earlier and scheduled an appointment and sounded quite irritated. She didn’t apologize for not calling me back either, but I didn’t think it was a big deal. Although, I thought she would have be kinder since it was a mistake on their end. When I got to the clinic I had the same experience as I did on the phone. The receptionists were very dismissive and unhelpful. I am hoping it was just a stressful day for them, but I was not impressed.

On the door AND website it is listed they close at 5. I walked in at 4:30 and was turned away saying walk ins were no longer being accepted. I would suggest changing your hours if this is how you are going to operate. Terrible experience.

How this clinic still has a license to practice I don’t know. Like everyone else, wrong diagnosis. They just want you in and out as fast as possible. Go to kalo!!!!

Came as a walk in a few minutes before opening on a Saturday and there were 2 people ahead of me. I was seen and diagnosed quickly and all staff were friendly, professional and efficient. It was very helpful to be able to get my prescription in the same place, and it was fulfilled in under 10 minutes. In total I spent less than an hour in the clinic and got everything I needed. Thank you!

waitied 2 hours to see the doctor. Once I got in he completely rushed through the visit. He did not take my concerns seriously and sent me home with no medication with severe cold and fly symtoms basicially telling me to tough it out. He didnt even take the time to check me properly now I have to waste time going to see a different doctor cause he wasted my time! dont go here! doctor does not care what so ever about the patients.

I have never been more disappointed with a walk-in clinic before.I called before going in and they said it was around a 45 min - 1 hour wait currently which was totally fine. I got there within 20 minutes of calling and checked in with no problem.While waiting, there were several others who came after me to also see the walk-in doctor. I noticed about 3 others who arrived after me were called in to be seen before me. I waited an hour and checked in with the girls up front to see approximately how much longer of a wait I should be expecting and they said another 45 minutes.I was getting quite frustrated at that point but sat down and waited my for my turn. After that, another family came in and was put on the waitlist for the walk-in. Within 15 minutes they were called into a room. I went up and asked why others who came in after me were being seen before me and the one girl checked her computer and looked confused while the other girl sitting next to her said that I was next.They very obviously either forgot about me or for whatever reason were allowing others to go before me.When I finally got into a room to be seen I had been there for around 2 hours and 15 minutes. I am perfectly fine waiting for a few hours to be seen at a busy walk-in but the lack of organization and whatever else was going on disgusted me.I will never return to this clinic and I will advise others to not go here as well.

I give Dr. Chan 5 stars! The clinic overall gets 4 stars. I’ve been having a cough/sore throat for the last two weeks. The first time I spoke with him (Nov. 4), it was just by phone and he explained that it was a viral infection. Two weeks later (Nov. 20), I still had a cough and it was getting worse. When I did the walk-in I was able to get in a room right away! I had to wait about 45 mins but understandably so considering how busy it was.During my conversation with Dr. Chan, he made mention of certain reasons why I may be sick. Turns out he was right! I just appreciate him so much as a doctor and I wish he was accepting new patients.

This was my first visit to this clinic, as I have a very painful tooth/ear ache. When I first came in there was a young lady and she went in fairly quick and then it was only me thinking I would get in fast but turns out it started to fill up fast and as they all came in I could hear who was a walk-in and who had an appointment. There was 3 walk-ins and everyo one of them went in before me and obviously I was starting to get a bit irritated so went up to the desk and ask when I would be going in as now I was the only one left and they didn't even know who I was and then put me in a room right away (as if that fixed the problem) when I said I've been waiting sense 3 and you've taken everyone before me. The doctor was friendly and I asked about how they work and he said I should of been first. So all in all I would recommend keeping an eye on your position there and speak up once you realize they've forgotten you were even there.
